Nice hotel, Housekeeping was in our room more than we were. We put our privacy please tag on the door and they walked in on us. Even when we requested no service, we walked in on them in our room... Was only there for 3 days, didn't need much service. Checked bank account after trip and was charged the $1700 total twice!

disappointing waldorf hotel

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: The location and the ability to use the sister hotel which seemed to have a more attentive staff
the hotel itself was fine with good access to the private beach and pool. There is no breakfast available except for a buffet and the service in the inside restaurant is poo.k I tried to get room service on;e night and twice there was no answer and win I finally ordered at 9:45 PM it never arrived. Overall the staff was lackdaisidscal. The concierge changed from shift to shift and booked us in a restaurant for the wrong day and never booked u on a second nightl. There seemed to be no continuity at the concierge desk

Beauty on the Beach in Key West!

Posted Feb 21, 2015
My husband and I have been going to Key West for 26 years and we have stayed at various lodgings. This was our first time staying at The Reach. We feel sorry that we hadn't discovered it sooner because it was absolutely gorgeous and right on the only natural beach in Key West. All the people that worked there were so friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience. In the future we can't see staying anywhere else.

not four diamonds...

Overall a great location with nice beach. Good beach is very rare in KW. This is not a luxury property, though it is a nice property.

overpriced

Posted Feb 19, 2015
It is too expensive for such tiny rooms with little amenities. Bathroom shower is bad and soaks the floor. Ther is no fan in the bath. There are no mirrors outside of bath. Balconies have very little privacy. The halls are dirty and the paint is peeling. The beaches and pool are the nicest in key west. The strip house is way overpriced (breakfast is $31 per person)

Great location, fantastic private beach

Posted Feb 18, 2015
We have stayed only one night at this hotel but everything was perfect. Nice pool and very nice private beach. Duval street is just around the corner with plenty of good restaurants. It's not cheap but most of good hotels in that area are expensive. The only downside: We were expecting a free breakfast for 425$ regular room. We will definitively return at this hotel.

Great time in Key West

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Great Location, right at the Southern most point in the USA. One block off of Duval and all the places that make Key West Legendary. Not so close that any late night happenings invade your privacy. Just a great place and the staff are second to none.

For being a Waldorf Astoria property I had certain expectations. This was an average hotel at best. Nothing special or impressive.

Not a Waldorf

Posted Feb 12, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: see above
rooms too noisey, rooms need dresser to put clothes otherwise you live out of suitcase, bare concrete when walk out of room on the floor looks tacky needs tile

Average to below average hotel. Nothing special. It was a quiet hotel.
