Tranquility bay is the correct name... it deliversPosted May 20, 2015
Pros: The buildings are in a curve all emptying onto lawns, pool, beach gazebo. The TIKI hut is great.
Cons: Slip proof mat for the bath and perhaps a handrail as well. - older folk do sometimes fall
Location: Fairly near to Key West where there is so much to do and see.
We were delighted to be given a nice upgrade at registration. It was a timeshare but in pristine condition. The unit was a delight in every way.

Noisy when raining. Celling was dropping water, but not a big problem.

Tropical OasisPosted May 14, 2015
The staff is friendly and very helpful. We arrived earlier than the 4PM check in time and they allowed us to go ahead and enjoy the facilities and the grounds of the resort. They also alerted house keeping when we arrived and we were informed as soon as our waterfront townhouse was ready. We were checked in and fully settled in to our tropical oasis before 2pm (less than 30 minutes after we arrived). The hotel staff was very accommodating to requests and willing to direct you to anything you needed. The beach is beautiful although it does have areas of sea grass on the bottom. They have a few beautiful pools and one of them is for adults only. The bar staff is very imaginative and willing to experiment and make you any drink they can even if it is not on the menu. The onsite butterfly cafe restaurant is pricey but the food is made from scratch, hand prepared, and one of a kind. The waterfront townhouses are more private than the beach front ones and look over a bay/dock area. This area use to be an old dolphin rescue and rehab center, so it's very interesting. The only issue we had with the townhome is that only have enough plates, bowls, forks, spoons, and knives for service of 6 and not anything extra. Also the cook wear is the bare minimum we had 3 different pots/pans in total. So please if you are traveling with a family do yourself a favor and bring paper plates and plastic cutlery.

Very nice hotel except front desk staff.Posted May 2, 2015
The hotel is beautiful, very nice restaurant and pool area. The rooms are fantastic. The only negative comment I have about this hotel, is that the staff at the front desk are not welcoming at all, are not friendly, not polite, and don't even ask about how is your stay. I have been going to this resort for three years now, and I keep encountering the same issue that the staff at the front desk are not welcoming on arrival and not polite on departure. This needs to be handle by Mangement. We are looking for other hotels similar to this, because staff at front desk are not welcoming. And it would be nice to feel welcome. Hope this helps managements change that.

Really beautiful grounds and rooms.Posted Apr 30, 2015
Nice pool. The occasional iguana wandering by got a lot of attention. The entire facility, grounds and rooms, were immaculately maintained. We had a nice private balcony to relax on in the evening. Nice sized rooms and bathroom. Iron, refrigerator and microwave. A very relaxing stay.

Overpriced for the amenities.Posted Apr 26, 2015
Pros: Exterior is well maintained.
Cons: The food in both restaurants need to be priced right (about 1/2 of current).
Location: Keys are over-hyped. I have seen better beached on the panhandle of Florida. There are no real beaches here. Most areas look run-down.
Nice location. There is no real beach here. The beach is mainly a water sports renting area. The Tiki bar concept in the Keys is a pure rip-off. Food and drinks are overpriced. The restaurants are very expensive for the quality of food. The 7 mile bridge is nice with a small veterans park area on the west end.

Great stay. Everything on site, beach, pool, outside cafe, within easy walking distance. Friendly staff. Lots to do with kids nearby-dolphin research center. Turtle hospital, snorkeling.
