Quick Getaway

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: It's close to Downtown Lake Geneva, clean room, friendly staff, indoor and outdoor pools with hot tubs and beautiful landscaping.
Cons: Wish check in was earlier than 4pm. Small refrigerator in room would be extra nice.
Location: It's close to Delavan, Elkhorn and of course Lake Geneva.
It was nice but too short. I requested easy access to the room. We were in room 1235. We had to go around in the lower level, across from the Avani Spa. Wish Café Latte were open past 5pm

The parking situation was a nightmare for us arriving at 10 pm. We had to park far away from our building. The room smelled like urine, the beds were comfy. Bring your own hair dryer because the small one in our room barely worked.

A place to relax and reinvigorate

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Though my visit was a one day event to relax and reminisce with childhood friend. My stay was worth while though short. The ambiance of the hotel and friendly staff will make me return.

We were pleasantly surprised to have access to so much right on the abbey property. Beach, pools, restaurants, etc...It was the perfect getaway with our 5 month old!

Nice clean rooms and baths, friendly staff and helpful. Unfortunately the indoor pool was closed but it was nice enough to be outside for everyone.

Wonderful accommodations.

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Staff courteous, swiming pools available for our use, shops and restaurants -- all within steps of our location.
Cons: I cannot think of anything that could be improved.
Location: Nearby restaurants, beaches, easy access to main roads, shopping nearby.
Upon our arrival, check-in, stay and departure we experienced nothing but the best of service. When we booked our stay at The Abbey through Expedia, we thought we were only reserving a hotel room. To our surprise, we had a two-bedroom villa which was a wonderful surprise. We were able to entertain our family (some who were at The Abbey or had homes of their own in the Fontana area) at our villa. We were plesantly surprised.

summer get away

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: From the time you pull up to the door you are treated extremely well by the staff. Outdoor areas are wonderful!
Cons: Better pillows, better wine selection at the Waterfront and the lights over the room doors are in desperate need of updating.
Location: The town of Lake Geneva is a short, scenic 15 drive. There are great shops, boating, restaurants and antiques. Williams Bay also offers great dining.
Just came home from 5 wonderful days at the Abbey near Lake Geneva. This is the only place we stay while visiting the area. Rooms are always clean, staff is very accommodating and restaurants are great. We feel like we are worlds away from home. The grounds of this resort are manicured to perfection. Spotless!

Location: Location on world known Lake Geneva . Lots to choose from for activities.
Dated hotel with many planned activities. Restaurant was overpriced and service, although pleasant , very slow.

Nice getaway- Been a fan of the Abbey for awhile.

Posted Jun 25, 2014
The Abbey is a great place to relax. It is on the quiet side of the lake and has a very laid back feel to it. That being said it is also excellent for a family vacation (no more than 4 per room) with plenty to do onsite, a beach down the block, and a couple family friendly places to eat nearby. The rooms are on the small side, a bit dated, and the staff has very limited authority to do much. eg., if you call the front desk they can't make reservations, onsite reservations directed me here for an extra night, I had to change rooms for my extra night because they couldn't figure it out, I was told on check in I could go to the spa, was told at the spa I would need to pay $25 but they still let me in...there are a few.... Overall great stay and I will be back.
