We stayed here to attend a graduation ceremony at Colorado State University. The room was very nice and the beds were comfortable. The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. I would stay here again.

Room is much better than the lobby and common area

Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: Location, off major highways and easy access to downtown Fort Collins and less than 10 minute drive from Colorado Marathon
Cons: Hotel lobby, and common areas
Location: Downtown Fort Collins, Bus Pick up for Colorado Marathon is about 10 minutes drive
Lobby and common area are in need of some clean up and updating. However, the rooms have been newly renovated and look pretty nice and comfortable.

Nothing special but quality place to the stay

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: My bed was really comfortable, and I was impressed with the level of amenities in the room. The front desk staff were really helpful and pleasant.
Cons: Nothing major comes to mind.
Location: Near the interstate, short drive to Old Town Fort Collins, all the breweries, and Colorado State University campus
This is a pretty no-frills hotel, although it does have both an indoor and outdoor pool. I didn't partake in the breakfast, but I was really satisfied with my room. The king-sized bed was really comfortable, as was the reclining chair in the room. The room was really clean and comfortable, and it had a nice flat-screen TV as well as a mini-fridge and possible a microwave (I'm not exactly sure). The front desk staff was very helpful and pleasant, and when I left something in my room after checkout, they let me go back and get it. The location is okay. It's pretty close to the interstate and not that long of a drive to Old Town and CSU. Next time, I might try to find something a little closer to those areas, but I was totally satisfied with the La Quinta and would definitely not be opposed to staying there again.

Hotel has gone to the dogs.

Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: staff was pleasant
Cons: Hotel needs some major refurbishing/updating. Also keep smokers and pet owners separate from those who are not - and may even be allergic to them.
The staff was nice and pleasant, that is the only good thing we have to say about our stay. Our room was supposedly non smoking, but smelled terribly of cigarette smoke with some kind of aeresol spray to negate/cover the smoke smell and was run down - bed sagged, old furniture, old carpet, etc. We also were on a hallway where seemingly half of the rooms each had dogs in them, even though there was not any room marked pet friendly, and we heard barking pretty much all night. When we were taking our luggage to our car prior to checking out the next morning, a family came out of their room across from us and had a rather large pit bull looking dog with them (of which the owner had a rather difficult time controlling) - again none of the rooms were marked pet friendly. They were walking down the corridor in front of us and the dog proceeded to lift its leg and pee all over the baggage cart that was on the corner of 2 hallways. We have stayed at this motel previously many times and it was always an excellent stay, but since our last visit 2 years ago it has gone way downhill in our view. We cannot recommend this hotel any more and will probably not stay here again.

Average Hotel/OK Value/Excellent Location

Posted May 2, 2015
Pros: Location was perfect for our needs. Value was OK considering the problem issues (see below).
Cons: Hot breakfast was horrible ! I was disgusted by appearance & taste of the hot items. In-room coffee maker made awful brew. Coffee packs did not fit
Location: Hotel is just off I-25 and on Mulberry, so travel was easy into various sections of Fort Collins.
We stayed 2 nights while in Fort Collins, CO. Room was very clean (looked like new carpet/paint) - hotel was being refurbished/updated. Location was excellent for us, being just off I-25 and near a variety of restaurants.

Ok, but just ok

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Location was good and staff was friendly.
Cons: room could and should be cleaner.
Location: Fort Collins downtown is wonderful.
Room was not very clean and although it was a non-smoking room it still smelled like smoke.

Definitely worth it, better than most in area

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Overall, my stay was far better than others I've had in the area. Front desk was very nice, helpful, and fast. Bed was comfy, had everything needed (except toothbrushes, etc, but I suspect you could ask the front desk). The parking lot is a bit odd, and was filled with cargo containers, but there was plenty of it. I didn't partake of the breakfast, so can't comment on that. There is a Denny's across the street (staff there is great and with possibly the best allergy menu available, very accommodating to those who have special diets), and a few other eating options nearby. Towels were nice and shower pressure was good. The only real thing that was negative was the fact that TVs and such in adjacent rooms were easily heard (I don't think the TVs were that loud, just that the insulation maybe wasn't up to snuff).
