Clean linens but the room needs some serious deep cleaning and updating. The tub/shower finish was flaking off and stabs your foot, the carpet had a sticky film that we wore our sandals every moment, smell, enough mold to affect my allergies, the bathroom door was sticky everywhere but the doorknob, ran a cup of coffee and there were white and grey floaties in it from the maker. We needed a pet friendly room and appreciated the closeness to the back door for business but there have obviously been several dogs that lifted legs on the bed skirt and hadn't been washed. Coffee from the morning breakfast, and food offerings were decent and there wasn't much for noise through the walls or windows so we did get some sleep. We managed through for a one night turn and burn but I'd definitely check out other options.

Don't forget anything in your room!!
Stayed 2 nights. Left my shorts. Called to see if they found them. They had and even though I just paid over $250 to stay with them. They wanted to have be pay to ship them back. Since someone had already taken the $100 out of the pocket I passed. Definitely wouldn't stay again.

We are sorry but the price of the room has got nothing to do with shipping back items that YOU forgot in the room And claiming that there was a $100 bill in the clothes pocket There are clear notices in the back of the room door advising you to double check your room and make sure you have all your belongings with you as we will not hold any lost property As per pandemic regulations You are blaming other people for your own mistake and making allegations of money missing May be next time you would be more careful Thank you

Baymont By Windham in Fort Dodge never fails us!
we always choose Baymont when visiting our son and his family in Ft Dodge. The place smells good, is always clean and everyone is friendly and the breakfast is always welcomed. :-)

Went to visit property (before) checking in (,was out getting food) and asked to upgrade room to a suite. The woman at the desk says not with 2 pets. I said i never said i was bringing pets. She preceeds on to say theres 2 dogs out in your car. So she completely stereotpyed me to begin with. Then they made my room right next to the office as if i was going to sneak them in. First off im not an idiot i wouldnt risk getting kicked out after spending over $100 on a ran down room And if i wanted to take my cry baby dogs i would have paid the fee like an honest person does. But i didnt want them to come they ruined previoys hotel experiances by whining. We got watched like a hawk by staff when we were swimming. Room wasnt the cleanest. Paint chipping all over the bathroom and tub. The sheets were wrinkeled and looked like they had been just made up from the previous person. Pool was small and had way to much chemicals in it. Burnt my face and eyes. Terrible experiance and id never visit there again.

We want to thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback and apologize for any misunderstanding We assumed as the pets were in the car that they would be staying with you in the room so you were advised of the pet charge before you advised us that they were not going to stay with you and well be going back to your home locally You made a ore paid reservation through a online travel agency and unfortunately there is no option to upgrade at the front desk on a prepaid reservation/ you could have booked the appropriate room type at the point when you were making the reservation with the online travel agent Room allocation is generally done randomly by the system in order to rotate the use of all the rooms in the building according g to the room type reserved We apologize if you felt that the pool water was too harsh for your skin - our pool chemicals are monitored remotely by a reputed international company who specialize in providing this service Once again thank you

I got a discounted rate through a website but it still seemed like it was excessive. Outdated room, average at best continental breakfast. There was even a light bulb missing from one of the bedside tables.

hi brad thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback we are sorry there was a bulb burnt/missing from a bed side lamp - if you had given us the opportunity to fix that issue it would have been resolved and we are also sorry the breakfast was not up to your standards the breakfast we put out has more items then what we are required to provide by our brand requirements we provide 3 type of juices regular and decaf coffee 6 different flavors of tea bags and original English tea instant hot chocolate, instant oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, mixed fruit bowls, breads , bagels and 2 types of cream cheeses, English muffins, 2 types of sweet Danish, muffin cakes, 3 types of cereals, honey, peanut butter and a variety of jellies, 3 types of fruits, 2 flavor of waffles to make hot, hot egg patties and sausage links these are among some of the items we offer on our breakfast counter but we once again sorry it was an average breakfast for you we once again thank you for your feedback

Nice place to stay when visiting northwest Iowa
My family meets for a reunion in Humboldt. Often the two hotels there are full so we have stayed at the Baymount several times. Best of all it is reasonably priced

Funeral
We needed a motel for one night to accommodate our family for a funeral, so the room I got was a king suite, it was a far cry from a suite. The room was clean but had a stale Oder to it, the room definitely needed to be updated. The couch seem really old and well used, the bed did sleep well. The breakfast area was very small, hard to move around in when multiple people were in their. Someone ran the microwave and all the power tripped off in that area.

Not very nice for $90.
I should have stayed at the Holiday Inn that was right down the street. Baymont lookwd like an old Motel 6. It was dated, the carpet was old and dirty looking. The room was clean, but old looking and not very nice. Thankfully, I didn't have my family with me or I would have left and gone somewhere else.

The people at the front desk were nice but slow...I think someone was being trained! The facilities are quite dated and not especially clean. It was quite hidden from the Main Street! I wish them a brighter and more prominent sign! The whole place is quite in need of renovation! The people that worked there tried hard with a poor facility to work with!

The hotel had nice beds. Clean pool. Needs some general maintenance- some cracking plaster around tub in our room and broken window screen. Was quiet and easy to get to.

The hotel is definitely showing its age. Carpets in the halls were dirty and had stains. The fitness room was closed the entire 5 days I was there. Breakfast was hit and miss if you wanted something specific. There was a mix up in our check out date and although that was straightened out, our room was not cleaned our last day. Won't ever stay there again. Plus was overcharged and still working on getting that fixed.

When we got there the room was at least 80° and it took about 4 hours to cool off. Then the lock on the door was broke. You could not use the top latch. The rooms haven't been updated from Super 8 or Comfort Inn who owned it previously. The water pressure was horrible. The eggs were really weird. The biscuits were hard. The room was dusty. On check out day which is 11am at 10:10 the maid came to the door and said she was told that we had checked out already. Then 10:15 my husband who was loading the car had to knock because his key card was deactivated. About 10:30 the maid stopped my husband in the hall to see if we were out yet. Would not stay again or recommend to anyone.

I am very happy with our 1 night stay. Very clean with quick services. We were greeted with very friendly and helpful hosts. I have a life guard back ground, and I noticed a clean pool area with what seemed to be proper chemical use. Clean hallways, breakfast area, and rooms. Our beds were also comfortable. Great choices for breakfast. Conveniently close to shopping and food.

Exit door not usable; ice machine not plugged in; malfunctioning toilet; 2 days out of 4 no maid service; room key failed EVERY time we attempted entrance; breakfast was cold and unappealing; clerk sat right outside front door smoking; room is ill repair with holes in wall, lamp didn't work, shower head dripped black debris, old carpet.
