Staff is HonestPosted Nov 6, 2013
Cons: The Hotel was built in the 30's it could really use more detailing of the rooms. I just needed a place to crash so I really did not mind
I left a bag and they saved it for me

Can't believe Expedia would book anyone this hotelPosted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Manager was nice. Outside looked good.
I was booking a hotel that I'd seen on Expedia for Ocala FL and having probs w/my laptop so I called to book it. Asked if she could help me w/a hotel for Ft Lauderdale near Port Everglades as we were boarding our ship for a cruise the next morning. She said she had a hotel 5 min from the port so I booked it sight unseen. We called because we couldn't find it and he talked us in. The sign for America's Best Inn was in a small window and there were two young men, one with a dog, hanging out on the little porch at the manager's office. Once to the room we opened the door and it was the smallest room I'd ever seen. The wall air conditioner was set on 64 but we both had sweat rolling down our faces. The manager came and low and behold there was no filter in it so there was black dirt all over the compressor. He procedes to wipe off the dirt with his hands falling on the carpet! Finally we could feel a little cool air and he left. We slept with no covers because it never got cool enough. My husband actually called my oldest daughter that night to tell her if she didn't hear from us by 11am to call the police he was so freaked out by this hotel and it's location!! She'd looked up the hotel and it was 1 1/2 stars!! I can't believe that Expedia would give me an expensive hotel with such a low rating....very disappointed. Oh yeah, the continental breakfast was in the office-single wrapped muffins, fruit and single serve cereal w/a gallon milk container and OJ in the fridge....

Not aesthetic but nicePosted Oct 10, 2013
This is certainly not the Hilton but for an inexpensive hotel it was quite nice, though with some reservations. Room itself was quite spacious and pleasant. Bathroom was in need of some sprucing up. The shower was clean but really could use a glazing. Handle to plug the sink was missing but I didn't need that anyway. But the shower head was nearly new and it worked great. People were quite pleasant and though it is near the airport, I was never disturbed by noise.

What was I thinking?!Posted Sep 27, 2013
Pros: It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The owner was very friendly and they even served a continental breakfast.
Cons: To improve the place, I think you would need to tear it down and start over.
Location: Would I stay there again? No, but if you are on a budget near the Ft. Lauderdale airport you might consider it.
Not sure what prompted me to book this hotel. It must have been the price. It is about 70 years old, like those old motels you see in bad movies. It is located near the Ft. Lauderdale airport, but in a quasar industrial area. Our room was very small.

A Nice SurprisePosted Jul 12, 2013
Pros: It was clean, cozy, had a very friendly staff, fridge and excellent selection of cable channel. Very near airport.
Location: I think this motel is best appreciated as a place to stay near the airport. It is very close to rental car providers as well
I booked this room for $60 and was not expecting much, however it was and AMAZING stay over before heading to Key West the next day. The staff was helpful and friendly, the room was small (which was fine!), cozy and clean. If you happen to need a buget friendly place to kill some time near the Ft Lauderdale airport, this is certainly the place.

Good stay.... For the $Posted Jul 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed 2 nights. Never before has the saying "You get what you pay for" applied better than here. The place is pretty run down and the room was small. The bathroom was literally 3' wide. The best part of the stay was the staff. Vey friendly and personable. Wouldnt be my first choice if I go back to town but wouldnt rule it out either.

Really close to the FLL airport!Posted Jul 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Wonderful hotel keepers. Small property with easy access to the airport for our early morning flight. City bus at the corner takes you right to FLL (first stop) for just $1.75. It's not the Ritz at all but it's clean and a great value if you're just overnighting. Beautiful outdoor pool! SixT Car rental place and post office just steps away. Yes, it's something of an industrial looking neighborhood off the highway but a short 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk takes you to "Lester's"- easily one of the best and most popular diners we've ever been to! Not to be missed if you're in town or hungry late at night. Funny quirky little motel but we're really glad we found it. Thanks Everett for your hospitality!
