Close to beach

Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: Very close to beach.
Cons: Not important - but fish pond on deck needs care.
Location: All activities on that popular beach site.
Close to beach, beach activities, and eating establishments. Not far from airport. An OK place to stay for the price.

Older but clean and great customer service

Posted May 2, 2014
Pros: Karen was great. Clean and close to beach.
Cons: Shampoo in room.
Location: Inches from boardwalk. Great location.
Customer service was outstanding. Rooms are clean but haven't been updated in a looong time. If you are looking for something footsteps from beach w/o the big hotel feel to it, this may be the place. Soap was in room, but shampoo was not.

Comfy feel and close to the beach

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Felt like home, hospitality, and courtyard.
Cons: New couch, more comfy
Had the apartment, and Karen hooked it up! She is accommodating and real. The space was comfy, vintage, and perfect for a stay half-block from the beach. Boardwalk and restaurants near by, along with state parks. I would go back!

Close to beach!

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Owner was very friendly and came no problem for late check in. Communicated well regarding being out in the morning and that housekeeper could assist us or we could phone if needed. House keeper did not understand/speak English so there was a bit of a barrier that morning but we had te option to call the owner if needed we just decided we did y need too. Room was clean and cozy, bed was very comfortable. Only hiccup was that the toilette didn't always flush and as soon as we let the manager know she went and took a look. Very close to beach, we checked in late and were out late and felt very safe and comfortable walking back to the hotel. The facility is older and dated but served its purpose for a comfy night sleep for us. 1/2 block from Hollywood beach boardwalk and reasonable dinning close by. We would stay again.

hi thanks for your comments, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay but you may have me mixed up with a different property. Both of my housekeepers are U.S born and only speak english, Maybe it was a guest you spoke with? Anyway looking into the toilet issue and glad you would return

Hidden Gem on the Florida Coast!

Posted Mar 28, 2014
Pros: 1. CLEAN! Always worry about that with the budget-friendly places but was pleasantly surprised here! The room was lovely! 2. Turtle Pond!
Location: 1. Beach/Boardwalk 2. Amazing breakfast at the frozen yogurt place nearby!
We had a great time at the Angelfish Inn. The location is perfect - steps from the beach on one side and the waterway on the other side, and basically in the center of the activity on the boardwalk. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and the owner Karin goes above and beyond to make sure all needs are met. All we wanted was a nice, clean space to relax for our beach getaway and that is exactly what we got. Honestly I think we had more fun here than if we had ended up in a more expensive chain hotel. If we ever go back to Hollywood we will not stay anywhere else!

Comfy Cozy Coccoon

Posted Jan 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was very clean, quiet and nice. The water was steps away, but not the beach. The owner went out of her way to help get me settled in the middle of the night. No pool or outdoor amenities, other than the koi pond and a few lounge chairs. Still, a great stay, where I slept like a happy baby!

Hidden Gem!

Posted Jan 12, 2014
Pros: distance from beach, hospitality, distance from food/hang out spots
Location: restaurants, drinks, shopping, liquor, beach
I stayed at Angelfish Inn the night before a cruise. It was amazingly clean, despite being so close to the beach the place was spotless! Speaking of the beach, this place is less than 1/2 a block from the beach and has chairs and umbrellas you can use for free on the beach. The broadwalk on the beach has everything you could want to eat or drink (all within walking distance). The Inn also has grills that guests can use. The next day, I needed a ride to the port for my cruise. The taxis were booked for 30+ mins, so the owner had her daughter drive us to the port (for free!) If I'm ever in need of a clean, friendly, homely, beachy, affordable place in Ft Laudedale, I will for sure be back! Thanks for an amazing stay!!

Angefish Inn was a great place for vacationing! Wonderful location, just steps from Hollywood Beach! The hotel is well maintained, and comfortable. The hotel itself is very appealing......small and quaint...and an great outdoor sitting area, complete with a pond.

Owner very nice. Hotel old.

Posted Dec 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The manager Karin was very nice, and I really appreciated how available she was. I also like to support local business. Also very close to the beach. However, this is a motel with old bedding and linens, and a musty feel of an old motel. If this is ok with you, then the price and location are great.
