Awesome ocean view

I had a wonderful time and stay. The food was great, the room was comfortable and I loved the balcony view of the ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family :)

Nice Birthday

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Location, ocean view, cabanas
Cons: Extended bar hours.
Location: Commercial Blvd. loaded with restaurants and bars and just over the bridge plenty of places to eat.
Bought a weekend for my wife's birthday. He had stayed here 8 years ago, it is still pretty much like it was then but older - and you can notice - however, dining and cocktail service has improved. Bars were closed at 10:15 :-(

Pros: Directly on the beach. That's it.
Cons: Carpets need cleaning to get rid of musty smell. Better ventilation throughout hotel corridors, you know they know there are fans mounted on walls.
Reserved Queen Bed European, on 7th floor right next to Double Elevators. Good thing(joking), really Bad thing the Air Conditioner was extremely noisy, we hear everyone get in and off the elevators, room smelled musty, air fresheners were used a lot. Bathroom window had no way of opening or closing jalousie windows. Very cramped space. Room had no refrigerator, ice machine was broken had to ask bartender at Tiki Bar for ice. Hotel was packed, when we checked in at 2PM, rooms were not available. We waited until 3pm and change of shift happened and Rooms? were available, odd or coincidence? Not enough parking for paid guests, Parking lots across the street were being used by contractors and anyone else.

Old but nice and remodeled

Posted Aug 29, 2014
Location: There's not too much to do near the area. However, the hotel is self contained. It has a restaurant and Tiki Bar by the pool.
This makes the third time we stayed at the Beachcomber. We love the rooms with a balcony overlooking the beautiful Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

Pleasantly surprised!

Location: Across the street is a mini mart, laundry mat, and Stinger's bar/restaurant. Their pizza is great.
This hotel has an amazing staff. The bar and restaurant far exceeded my expectations. We spent most of the day on the beach. There are umbrellas and chairs for a reasonable rental price. They even took drink and food orders on the beach! While at the pool one of the servers even offered cups of ice waters to those sitting around the pool. Now that is true service! We had two queen beds in our room. Which I had asked if that was possible, and they did not charge me any extra. The room was very large and even had a partial ocean view. The building is older, but the furniture in the room was very nice and updated. The bathroom was nice and clean. There was even a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I would stay here again. The rate was an excellent deal even for the full weekend! Thanks Beachcomber and Expedia!

Nice hotel right on the beach.

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Privacy and location. Plus friendly staff.
Cons: Toilets make lots of noise when flushed both in the room and in adjoining rooms.
Location: Eat at my favorite restaurant Houston's nearby.
Would like to stay again longer than 1 day to enjoy the facilities. Food and service was good sitting with our feet in the sand. Our room on the first floor was noisy so would ask for a room higher to use the balcony or with another couple to enjoy the villas. Help was friendly both at checking in and at the restaurant.

Nice hotel right on the beach

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Outdoor dining
Cons: I didn't care for the pillow/linens quality.
Location: Right on the beach. Walk right onto the beach. Drive to nearby attractions. Conveniently located on A1A.
Best part of our stay here was dining under the outdoor straw-covered hut, between the pool and the beach, just before the sand, with tiki torches

Enjoyed dining directly on the beach

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: They have the kindest and friendliest staff!
Cons: Our room could have used some minor cosmetic repairs.
We enjoyed the view while dining directly on the beach. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. If you decide not to eat at the hotel, there is plenty of restaurants nearby. We stayed during turtle season and observed the volunteers who were taking care of the nests....something we had never experienced before. Although we were on the first floor and at times it was loud, we would definitely come back to the Beachcomber.

Beachcomber

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The resturant is good
The room was very small, there was a dampness in the room. The safe did not work. I was also disappointed about the price. My husband spoke to the hotel and they said if we booked directly with the Beachcomber, we could have gotten the room for a cheaper price or for what we paid Expedia we could have gotten a room with a balcony with an ocean view. Also went to get two cups of coffee and they charged $8.39. I would not recommen this hotel to anyone and will not ever book through Expedia again. I thought I was getting the best price when I booked through Expedia.
