I loved the pool area. And access to the beach where I swam in the ocean.

Great quiet get-away.Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: I liked the old-time charm. The rooms had alot of beautifully carved wood. The balcony was great to have our coffee on and play cards
Cons: Happy hour would be great with snacks. Free coffee in the lobby in the morning The record keeping at the front desk needs to be up-dated.
Location: Location for us was great. We didn't even rent a car because we went to get away and relax. The airport shuttle brought us right to our door .
We had a good time and a very laid back atmosphere. We were almost ready to go back to the snow and cold at the end.

Great location, nice beach, nice pool, good pool bar, very welcoming and helpful staff. Overall, a very nice and affordable on beach option in Ft. Lauderdale area.

Pros: location and reasonable prices
Cons: parking might be limited during peak times
Location: convenient to shops and restaurants
Competent, friendly staff...very nice location right on the beach...comfortable loungers in the spacious balconies..rooms have an older look but everything appears to be well maintained, especially the outside areas..

Beautiful classic Florida hotelPosted Jan 17, 2015
Pros: We enjoyed the pool and outside dining. The bed was wonderful and not the usual hotel - to hard or too soft type. The linens were excellent and thick
Cons: They could use some pull out clotheslines in the showers to hold wet swimsuits while drying. I would have liked a mirror in the bedroom.
Location: Ft. Lauderdale's main strip is less than 20 minutes away. The water taxi is always a fun way to see the sites or the tour boats. The mall is close.
The Beachcomber is a lovely hotel right on the beach. We enjoy walking and easily walked to the Pompano Beach pier to watch the pelicans. We had breakfast on the way home in the small shopping district. There is shopping and food directly across from the hotel as well. The location of the hotel was very convenient to the main roadways north and south. The hotel has a restaurant which also serves food in their large Tiki style seating area located between the ocean and the pool (enclosed by see-through wind blocking curtains if the wind is up). The food was delicious for both meals - breakfast and dinner - that we ate there. It was reasonably priced as well. The pool is beautiful and uncrowded. It was protected from the wind by the U shaped buildings and the Tiki restaurant area. We enjoyed afternoon swims each day. The hotel felt extremely safe and secure and the staff tended to the rooms very well. We had a plumbing problem and it was taken care of within the hour. All in all a very lovely hotel.

Great Place to StayPosted Jan 14, 2015
I have stayed at this hotel five times in the past three years. It has everything you need for your stay. You could easily stay on the premises and not have to leave. The beach and grounds are great. It is very nice to eat right on the beach. If you want to go out or need anything from the store, everything you need is right across the street.

Very nice hotelPosted Jan 13, 2015
The center court of the hotel had a nice vibe to it. Almost felt like you were in Hawaii with the tiki roof and torches on the bar and dining area. They had live music for most of my stay. The bartender Steve was awesome and very friendly. I had a nice room overlooking the pool area so I could people watch. The balcony on my room was a very nice size.

A nice quite vacationPosted Jan 10, 2015
We had a nice time other than a problem with dinner we had there. The restaurant is over priced for food that isn't that good. Service was mediocre. She didn't know her menu. We didn't give them a second try. Great beach and pool though.
