I arrived from the airport about 8:30 p.m. The B/W was using another hotel's shuttle that evening. I stayed three nights (Mar 6-8)
First impressions: This is an older hotel that could use a refresh in certain areas. For example the chairs in the breakfast area are very worn, and the carpet in the hallways are worn.
The room (two doubles, non-smoking) was very spacious and clean. Offered a small coffee/tea selection and coffee maker, a small cooler type refrigerator and a microwave. However, no room safe available. The bathroom was a good size with a few toiletries. I did notice a bit of a musty smell in the room, but I suspect that has to do with humidity.
The continental/complimentary breakfast was good and offered a variety of items. The young woman who took care of the area was efficient and friendly. Kudos to her as it was a busy place!
Front desk staff were not as efficient or friendly. The first evening I arrived, I overheard the clerk advise guests that the hotel does not have a cruise port shuttle, that they would need to arrange a taxi or a Lyft. That was not correct, the shuttle is available for sign-up the day prior at a cost of $15 p/p.
One day the front desk was left vacant early in the morning. I was down having breakfast at 7 a.m., and there was a sign suggesting the clerk would be back in 15 min. The clerk who arrived at 7:30 looked surprised to see no one there. I don't know what the shifts were but it did seem unusual.
Overall, 8 out of 10
