“not impressed”
Door was slamming from office area all night , someone was talking in reception/office area most of night. I spent most of the night awaken by doors shutting and a person or persons talking loudly. It was way too noisey, not happy with the hotel staff at all. The man who ran the shuttle to the airport was the only exception , he was nice, on time and friendly.
“Pleasant stay”
Clean, comfortable room. Helpful staff. Punctual shuttle, Near a few shops and eating places.
“Hotel for cruising from Ft Lauderdale”
Near by to Cruise Terminaland a nice motel. Shuttle van service was spotty both from the airport and to the Cruise Terminal, but free. NO PICKUP from the Cruise Terminal, but can pay for short taxi or other shuttle service.
“Beautiful hotel, difficulties with shuttle service”
Got the wrong directions about which way to go when exiting the airport, waiting for the shuttle. Called the hotel and they were apologetic and someone arrived shortly. We were scheduled the next morning with the 11:30 shuttle to the airport, arrived in lobby at 11:15. Had to ask at the desk for them to call the driver. Shuttle did not arrive until 12:00 noon, luckily we were not late for our plane. Hotel itself was beautiful

“Comfortable and nice”
Clean rooms and pool. Breakfast was good. Hot and cold choices. Staff helpful to answer questions.
“Smoking policy problem”
Bottom line: Don't book this hotel unless you get there early enough to get the non-smoking room you reserved. We booked 3 non-smoking rooms. When we went to our rooms all 3 were smoking rooms. One of the 3 smelled as if it had just been vacated by a cigar smokers convention. In our opinion, this room was uninhabitable. The other two smelled of cigarette smoke. We went to the desk and asked to be re-assigned. The clerk was very pleasant but initially said no other rooms were available. He eventually determined that he had one non-smoking room available because someone else was late in checking in. We checked that room and it was non-smoking and in good condition. As the ones assigned to the cigar convention room we took the new room. The other 4 people were forced to stay in the smoking rooms. We had already determined that there were no other rooms available in other hotels, it was 11 PM and we had to be up for 5:30 AM to make a connecting flight. We questioned the desk clerk about the No Smoking signs posted everywhere and he indicated that the policy could not be implemented because the hotel was being sued by a smoker who claimed his right to smoke in the rooms were being violated.
“Ft. Laurderdale”
The room was clean and quiet. The hotel staff was extremely gracious. The hotel pool was a nice surpise - decent size and plenty of lounging areas.
“Was as expected”
We chose the hotel because the shuttle picked us up at the airport and took us to the port the next morning. The continental breakfast was actually quite good. So we felt with the savings in transportation costs and breakfast, the hotel was a bargain. It was clean and comfortable. The area where it is located was not great but you can't have everything!
