“The owners make you feel like its home.”

Let me say that I have never writen a review for anything. But after staying at the blues seas for 11 days I feel I have to. The owners are the best people you could deal with, very helpful with everything from getting you situated and comfortable in your room to giving you directions to all the spots you would like to see. The rooms were very clean and gounds were very well cared for. The motel it self is very unique, its all latin american design and I might say very taste-fully done. The pitcures that you see in the guides do not do it justice at all. Also the furthest you had to walk to the pool was twenty feet if you were on the first floor (there were only three rooms on the second floor). The landscaping around the pool was beautiful and the pool very inviting. The motel is in the best location you could possibly be in, 1 1/2 blocks away from the resturants and bars but yet far enough away that you didn't have to put up with the noise that comes with it. I would have to say that of all the motels I have stayed at over the years this one tops them all. We are already making plans for next years vacation.

“Great place to stay”

Spent 3 nights here in late may. This is a really cute privately owned boutique hotel. The owners take a lot of pride in the property. We really enjoyed our stay. Beach chairs are provided free of charge and there is a beach access point just across the street. The owner and her staff were very friendly. Our room had a kitchenette which we didn't really use, but it was still nice to have the option. The owner even let us check out a little late so my SO could get in one last shore dive before we left. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great stay!

“Family visit to Blue Seas Courtyard”

The place was decorated in a beautiful Mexican theme. The owners take care to keep the place looking great. Our room was perfect, and the bathroom looked like it had just been re-modeled. Everyone was happy to accommodate all our requests (more beach towels, new sheets when our son wet the bed, even letting us receive a fax). The pool was heated to 88 degrees, allowing us to swim even though the air wasn't warmer than the mid 70's. The beach is awesome and just a short walk across the street. There are shops and restaurants just a short walk down the road. Everything about this place was just right for our family (2 adults, a 3-year-old, and a 1-year-old).

“Very Nice Place!”

Would definitely stay again. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that there is no central air. There is a wall unit that did a great job of keeping the room cool and we were always comfortable. The only downside to it is that the compressor cutting on and off will awaken a light sleeper. I realize that many hotels have the same issue and it would not keep us from staying there again. The decor of the entire place is awesome. If you are in Ft. Luaderdale, stop by for a free tour.

“Attention to detail”

The couple that runs this boutique hotel spends their day making sure everything is just right. They are very friendly & pay careful attention to every detail. The hotel is small, so it makes you feel like part of the family when you stay there. The room is warm & cozy with everything needed for a long term stay. Flat screen TV, wireless internet, kitchen, newly updated bathroom, warm pool etc. I would stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this quaint hotel. The Old World Mexican decor is charming and the atmosphere is relaxing. There is a nice little pool in the courtyard. Blue Seas is a short walk to the beach, shopping and dining. The staff are warm and friendly. Will definitely go back. Every room has a full kitchen. It's an older property but renovated and well maintained.

“A Surprising Treat in Lauderdale by the Sea”

I found this place on TripAdvisor and was a little suspicious since I rarely stay at motel-type properties, but booked it anyhow. It was only for two nights, so how bad could it be? I was very pleasantly surprised. A great value for the price. The property is similar to other small family-owned motels in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea...but with a difference. The kitschy Mexican decor is done to perfection--it is like being in a Mexican restaurant, but it is all beautifully maintained. What really won me over was the room--spacious with a king bed, a full kitchenette and an adequate but not updated bathroom. New, big flat-screen tv and FREE WIRELESS!!! The other big pluses were the helpful and friendly staff and the location; Blue Seas is a one minute walk to a beautiful and uncrowded beach and a two minute walk to the center of town. I did not give this place 5 starts because it is not a luxury hotel and some amenities are not available, but for this kind of property, it is top-of-the-line. I would recommend it!

Owners nap daily from 4 to 7pm and you check in around that. Owners expect daily tip of 1 to 2 dollars a day for them to clean your room. Unusual place but, nice.
