Very nice visit, steps from the oceanPosted Sep 14, 2014
Directly across El Mar drive from the Atlantic Ocean in pleasant Lauderdale By The Sea, the Coral Key is a 12 room hotel with an abundance of curb appeal and extremely accomodating staff. Six units on each of two floors, my thought is that the best views can be found from rooms 5 and 6 on the first floor, rooms 25 and 26 on the second floor. Furnishings and room decor could be nicer but its all functional. The patio furniture is very plentiful especially for a 12 room facility. I counted 11 chaise lounges , 14 chairs, three umbrella shaded tables and one bench surrounding the kidney shaped pool which had a 9 foot depth at the one end. Also, each room had 2 chairs and a small table positioned outside the door. Nice note here.. the AC units are on the back side of the rooms so the noise they generate does not interfere with the serenity of a libation enjoyed outside. You'll find that the town square is a very manageable 1/3 mile walk . Restaurants ( some with live entertainment) , boutique shops, ice cream and gelato stores. Just a really nice feel here.

Excellent location near beach, close to pierPosted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: The convenience and location to beach and pier.
Cons: Like most smaller units, not everything works as it should, i.e. shower fixture.
Location: Close to shops at the pier and Publix mall, just down A1A from Boca, Pompano etc.
Single efficiency was easy for emphasis on beach stay and low key walks to the shops at the pier.

Pros: The staff is very helpfull and friendly.
Cons: The hotel is really dated and badly needs a refresh. Furniture in the bedroom was falling apart, none of the windows could be opened, etc.
Location: The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet street right across an entrance to the beach. Walking distrance to restaurants, supermarket, CVS, etc.
OK stay but would not go back. The hotel is perfectly located but badly needs a refresh.

An untold secret within 200 yards from the beach.Posted Aug 3, 2014
This hotel is managed with family style and dedication. The staff allowed us to check in early, which was a first for us. Quiet area, family oriented, everything is within walking distance. I'm going back...and the price, amazing.

Weekend GetawayPosted Jul 8, 2014
Tugba the general manager was very friendly. We felt so at ease and very relaxed. The beach is just a few steps away. Great beach for couples and families.

IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! no punks or drunk at all -Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and also very close to the beach!
Cons: Put a TV in the bedrooms they only have it in the liing room.
Location: Publix, Subs, Dunkin Donuts and the pier are within walking distance.
It would recommend it but I really don't want to because then they will tell everybody and their mother and then the punks that go to Hollywood and Ft. Lauderdale Beach would go there and spoil it for all of us that LOVED IT!!! I want to keep it all to me, myself and I :)

Exactly what we were looking for...Posted Jun 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
The entire visit was amazing. We arrived early, and the staff was kind enough to hold our luggage while our room was turned over. We strolled two blocks to an area full of restaurants and shops and had a wonderful lunch near the beach. When we returned (still a little early), our room was ready. It was exactly what we were looking for... Comfortable, updated, and spotlessly clean. "Let the relaxing begin!" The rest of our stay was just as wonderful as the first day. When the time came for us to leave, our request for a late checkout was happily granted (because space was available). We wished we could have stayed longer, and we highly recommend the Coral Key Inn.

PoorPosted May 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel manager is extremely rude, the office is closed most of the day. Pots were dirty when we checked in and half of the time there was no parking. They expect their dishes washed, garbage thrown out and the nasty apt neat or you will be charged an additional $50.00 I would never go back to that old and dirty hotel.
