Courtyard By Marriott Fort Lauderdale East

I booked my hotel back in February and at the time it stated it was under renovations. Well when I arrived in May it was still under construction and it doesn't appear to be anyway near close to being done. I was disappointed also by the condition of my room. It was clean but completely unorganized the sofa bed was out and the nightstand drawers were open. One of the laps on the wall was lopsided. I also found the temperature of the room to be humid and I did adjust the air conditioner. The best part if the hotel is the inexpensive cost and its located not to far from the beach or other local attractions. But I don't think I would ever stay at that location of the Marriott. I will save my money and go else where.

even though it was under construction it was a relaxing place. The pool was nice and clean.

Everything clean just some of it outdated. Restaurant closed. Makes things difficult if you do not have a car.

I enjoyed my stay at the Marriott and as always would tell my friends to stay here as well. I will make a return trip hopefully this year.

Stayed with family overnight. I had surgery the next day at Holy Cross Hospital. Just a couple of blocks away. Plenty of restaurants in area. Hotel lobby undergoing renovation so lobby was in a cafeteria. Hotel upkeep good and check in was a breeze.

This hotel should not be on your list until remodel is done. I have lost faith in your selection process.

The room was clean and roomy. Good location. Good breakfast. Shuttle service very handy.

As of late April 2013, I would divide the hotel into two 'sections.' The fourth floor rooms have been remodeled; the lower floors have not. My wife and I initially received a second floor room that was substandard (to us, anyway). The room smelled musty. The carpeting was old. Also, we were awakened at about 1:00 by a loud disturbance outside our room. The soundproofing seemed almost non-existant. We requested a different room the next morning and were given one of the newly remodeled rooms. It was delightful. However, all but the first-floor rooms all have balconies but no chairs to sit on. Not sure what the deal is there. Also, the breakfast selection was very poor. We ended up eating breakfast someplace else. I did not find the hotel to be a good value. If I could guarantee a newly remodeled room I might stay there again, but I would definitely look at other options.

All though the hotel was under renovation... the staff made it very comfortable.

I stayed there while attending the races at homestead and found the area and hotel to be quite pleasant. Would definately stay again.
