“Make a better choice”

Hotel is very very old. Chaggy looking inside and out. The employees are not very helpful. I would not stay here again. I would spend more and go somewhere better. There are many places in the area.

“Great location, beach hotel with lots of atmosphere”

We stayed at the Bahia for 3 nights. This is not a 5 star hotel, but has tons of atmoshpere and is close to the airport, sea port, water taxi and the beach is across the street. The hotel comes alive at night, so I wouldn't want to stay in the main building due to the noise. The buildings away from the bar are quiet. The food is excellent and the evenings at the bar and lounge are fun, right on the marina.

“Nice hotel by the beach”

We were pretty satisfied with the hotel, but the pool are could have been bigger. There are a lot of outside visitors that use the pool area and there is really not enough room for the guests and the outside guests to be comfortable. I did go for a swim but had trouble finding a chair to put my belongings on & be ready to deal with a lot of children if you are going to use the pool. The parking situation was difficult as there was valet parking because of the large number of guests who use the restaurant at the hotel. The restaurant is nice & very popular but it creates a very squeezed parking area. The attendant said I could park my car myself, but I could not find any spaces pretty much at any time of the day after 11am. If you are going to leave the hotel for a nearby destination, then it is best to just keep your car parked & walk to the nearby sites as coming back & parking your car does definitely take up a lot of time. The location of the hotel is great. The beach is right across the street & there are tons of store & restaurants about a 15 minute walk north of the hote. The staff is very friendly & were helpful with any requests that we had.

“Clean and Comfortable”

I only stayed for one night, but room was comfortable. Yea, place has a little age to it, but it was clean. I would stay again if I could get the same room.

“You get what you pay for”

Great location, on marina with beach right across the street (crosswalk!). Excellent food and bar at hotel. Live music every night of our stay. Hotel is old, carpeting was too dirty for the kids to crawl on and toilet leak had to be repaired during our stay, carpet was never dry outside of the bathroom after the repair. Pool was not cleaned until second day of our stay, but then was very nice. Overall a good trip and we would definitely stay here again, it was a bargain for the location!

“Not impressed”

The room stayed hot the air did not work properly. The room was very dated in much need of an upgrade and there was a mix up in our reservation. We were a party of 8 and they had booked us in two separate buildings when we had requested rooms at least on the same floor if not side by side. It took almost an hour to get us at least in the same building. The biggest complaint I have was the staff, they were just rude. However the restaurant on site was good and you are right at the water taxi if you choose to use it. Location is not to bad either you are within walking distance of the strip without being on it. For the price it was o.k. to stay but I would make sure to double check your reservation before you get there and don't ask for directions or advise on the town at the desk.

“Nice hotel on fort Lauderdale famous strip aria”

The best location for cheep price you r right on the beech and about 5 mints walking from the famous strips aria where all the action are ... I recommend this place for everybody who doesn't want to drive and you going to save a lot of money ....

“Condition of rooms”

Hotel was older but clean. Carpet was old but appeared to be somewhat clean. Restraunt and bar excellent service and great food.

“Great!”

This is a charming and friendly motel; not top of the line, but good service and food and I did NOT see any bugs. If it was updated, it would loose the charm. I have reservations to go back in March!
