Pools are too crowded!!!

Posted May 1, 2015
We've stayed at the diplomat before when it was owned by the westin and loved it. Now this passed weekend we didn't love it so much, due to the fact that outsiders sneak in to the pool because security isn't checking room keys any more. Because of this, There were NO lounge chairs open. My husband and I were sharing a lounge chair after we paid $350 a night, while the family next to us had told us they sneak in every single Sunday to enjoy the pool, and they had 4 lounge chairs to themselves.

Nice hotel near the beach.

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Pools and the beach was very close to hotel.
Cons: The process of paying for the bbq area by the pool was not pleasant and very slow, the man cooking gave my daughter a raw chicken sandwich
Location: Went to Miami one evening.
We had perfect weather and enjoyed the pool every day we were there. We did not have an ocean view since the hotel was sold out but the room was nice. We always enjoy a coffee at starbucks and the breakfast buffet had great things to offer us. Was a much needed 4 days away.

First time, last time

The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The head of the bed was lower than the feet and I ended up sleeping backwards, with my head by the feet instead. We purchased the package that included breakfast and when we checked in the person who attended up did not give us the breakfast vouchers so we had to go back and get them later. In the pool area we asked the towel attendant if we could put our stroller behind their area and he said no. Two minutes later another attendant asked us if we wanted to put the stroller away back there. Overall not a good experience.

Awesome place, with one negative - no free WiFi

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: location, pool area, the beach!
Cons: add free WiFi in rooms
Absolutely beautiful place in and out! The check-in was a breeze, with my room available at 10 am, which was very nice! The Lobby is sparkling clean and is very inviting. The pool area is large enough with plenty of lounge chairs for all. The beach is breathtaking! Rooms are clean and balcony overlooking the ocean and the pools is definitely a plus (oceanfront room). I liked having a separate shower and a spacious counter space in the bathroom. Beds were super comfy!! Location of this resort is my favorite, located within minutes to lots of restaurants and cafes, close to grocery stores and with easy access to freeway. Not to far from Miami Beach or Fort Lauderdale. Valet parking was convenient to have, although a little pricey, but pretty efficient with about 10 min wait. Having a Café with Starbucks coffee in the Lobby is very convenient.. - used it every day!! Overall very nice Resort with just one negative - no free WiFi in the rooms. The only free WiFi was available in the lobby. And if you needed to use the computers in the business center, the price for internet there is about $6 or $7 per 15 min.
