Elegant exteriorPosted May 4, 2015
Cons: How do you improve on excellent
Location: So much to see and do-excellent local fare restaurants and recognizable chains. Shopping everywhere.
From our first view of the Hotels exterior we were smitten. Upon entering your staff was immediately attentive and helpful with our few questions. We were impressed with your center gathering area that looked more like a tropical patio with confortable seating and beautiful skyview. Our suite was inviting and spotless. We enjoyed the surprise Managers cocktail time (2 great hours-FREE) with wonderful drink choices and delicious munchies. The bartender was quick and attentive and friendly and where do you go to to get a full breakfast menu included in your stay anywhere!!!!! So impressed and will definitely be using Embassy for future stays. Thank you for your excellent hospitality in Fort Lauderdale.

With so many hotels having free wifi, it was disappointing it cost so much for internet.

Great Hotel to RelaxPosted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: I love the suite experience and the breakfast! I also love the staff!
Cons: Variety of snacks in the reception from 5:30-7:30
Location: Great location! Water taxi, Convention Center, Shula Burger, PeiWei, Carrabas and other great restaurants nearby. The restaurant in the hotel was aw
It was a great hotel with everything you needed without going out after a long day at conference. It was also close to many restaurants and the Convention Center which I went to daily. Staff was very nice, breakfast awesome, and the staff made me feel so relaxed and worry-free.

Better than expectedPosted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Atrium waterfall with cool tropical environment, decent mattress essential, large room, microwave/fridge were there for convenience but hidden.
Cons: There was no iron in my room, they brought one quickly, add free internet to the rooms
Location: It was close to most, with the heat I would tend to take a taxi which made places easy to get to
When on business we tend to stay in 4 to 5 star hotels. I have to say my expectations were not to expect too much but a standard OK stay. Love the lobby Atrium and main dining/seating space with waterfalls as it gave immediate ambiance of comfort and with the steamy heat outside it was always a relief to come home into this environment. Good value for price, a living room with a comfortable big chair with stool, large sofa and desk with chair with computer plug in's power on the lamp which I always like. A large window to the Atrium below that I described with hidden microwave,mini-fridge and sink. 2 bedded bedroom--good mattresses which I ALWAYS ask about before I stay anywhere and great size shower/tub. 4 nice pillows on the bed to suit varying preference styles. Air conditioner worked well. I had an exterior balcony. The restaurant was decent for dinner, my friend enjoyed the breakfast included daily in the lovely Atrium area and decent bar at night. We were at the cruise conference all day and it was pleasant environment to come back to each late afternoon to friendly reception staff, cool tropical ambiance and safe environment. Internet was $10 a night unfortunately--would have been nice to have this included as many hotels now provide. Taxi's readily available and 5 min ride to the Broward Convention Center. So long as I can sleep on a decent bed, clean room, perks of several nice pillows, large living space, safe, nice staff and ambiance, what else do I need?

A great accommodationPosted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: The cleanliness and the décor and the friendly staff and the happy hour
Cons: The shuttle from the airport was difficult to connect to.
Location: The shopping centre next door
We have a lovely big bedroom and separate living room space. We enjoyed the friendly and knowledgeable staff and the happy hour before we had dinner there. The shuttle to the port for our cruise was well-managed and friendly.

Beautiful Lobby!Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: The lobby and pool. Lots of chairs at the pool. The large room. The free nightly snack and cocktail.
Cons: The room needs to be updated. It could have been cleaner.
Location: Great location. Publix, restaurants and beach are all nearby.
Overall, we had a very nice stay. We were checked in by an employee, who did not even crack a smile, not very helpful- but I decided not to take it personally. All the other times, we had a phenomenal experience at the front desk by an amazing, friendly and helpful employee. The lobby is just gorgeous and the pool was too. Lots of chairs and towels at the pool, so you don't need to wake up early to get a chair. The room space was great. The room is quite outdated and needs an update- as it is looking tired. The location is phenomenal- Publix, shopping, restaurants, everything is really close by and the beach is a 10 min drive away. We found parking both times that we went. The free breakfast is a plus as is the nightly snack and cocktail. The only downside is that one night there was a huge cockroach in our room! My husband killed it and the hotel came to take it away. They offered us a free dinner at the restaurant. It did put a damper on things but it was the only one we ever saw. To be fair, even the 5 star hotel that we stayed in previously had ants. Overall, a nice stay.

convenientPosted Mar 31, 2015
We were looking for a hotel located convenient to the airport and the port. We stayed only one night as we left the next day for an 11 day cruise. We liked the convenient location and the proximity to shops. We needed a couple of last minute items for the cruise.
