“Days Inn Fort Lauderdale”

This Hotel was in a very bad area. We were warned by several people not to go out walking anywhere! Very run down looking. The pool was not in operation since it had been closed about a week earlier due to health reasons. The worst was we were supposed to be shuttled to our hotel free of charge from the airport. We waited over an hour but no shuttle so we took a taxi to the hotel in the hopes we would be reimbursed the $34 we paid, however they refused our request but were told they did reimbursed some people!!! Would definitely NOT recommend this hotel!!!!

“Use ONLY as a last resort.”

We stayed 2 nights prior to our cruise. To begin with - the hotel was grossly overbooked. We got our rooms mainly because we booked two rooms for a 2 night stay. There were dozens of people who were turned away EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS. Once we got to the room, we wished we were the ones that had been turned away. Our room had been refurbished recently, but was still dark, dank and moldy smelling. The coffee maker and microwave never did work, and it took until the second day of our stay to get the electronic door lock working. (We had to call the maintenance man to let us in with his manual key every time we went anyplace.) The continental breakfast is not of much use... imagine 50+ people trying to cram into one small room with 4 or 5 small tables and two coffee pots. The food might have been good, but we were never able to get close enough to it to find out. We did manage to get 2 small (4 ounce) cups of coffee before they ran out. The swimming pool had a large sign - "Closed by the board of health." We did have good luck with the shuttle to the cruise terminal. They said to be ready outside by 11:45 and the shuttle would start at Noon. We were out there by 11AM to get ahead of some of the crowd. When the shuttle showed up a few minutes after 11 he let us pile in and took us right to the ship early. All in all, the only way we would stay at this Hotel again would be if it had the last available room in the entire city.

“JUST DON'T STAY HERE”

Awful, DIRTY, unsafe neighborhood, no nearby restaraunts. I would not book this hotel for my dog to stay in. This hotel had a 3 star rating when I booked it which is way over for it. If I could rate it with a zero rather than a 1 I would.

“Warning- choose another hotel!”

Couldn't be more disappointed in this Days Inn. Apparently not all Days Inn are the same. Was told the shuttle from airport to Days Inn would arrive within 10 minutes of our call, 1.5 hours later they came, this was now 1am with children. Rooms we dirty, smelled, made children sleep in clothes. Breakfast was not great. Hotel pool was closed per Board of Health. Hotel was aware we were taking shuttle to port for cruise, I confirmed this with them at check in and again at check out in morning. Shuttle took forever waiting, only to find out that we needed a voucher from the front desk, which they never gave me. Now we have already waited an hour, have luggage and children in the van and are told we need the voucher. Instead of using the walkie talkie in his hand to call the front desk, he made me walk back and get one. Was awful experience and not a great way to start a trip.

“Extremely disappointing....”

Worst hotel i have ever been to. Arrived at 11:30 PM and we had to switch rooms three different times as they all had such a moldy and stale odor. We end up leaving to finding a new hotel after trying to air out room for over 1 hr. Bad experience.

“Don't waste your money”

Upon check-in, we were informed that the credit card used to reserve the room had been declined. Several other guests who used other websites were told the same thing and had had their reservations canceled. Don't you think it should have occured to them that the problem was on their end, not the travel site? We were given a room initially on the ground floor and were very surprised, when we opened the door, to find someone else was already occupying the room. We had to go back to registration, stand in line again, and be given a different room. The hotel is on a main drag and the noise the entire night made it impossible to sleep. That evening, after returning to the room from a lovely dinner, neither room key would work. Back down to registration, stand in line again, get a new key. The second day, the maid finally came with clean towels at 4:30. This hotel is definitely overpriced.

“Do not stay here in the Days Inn Ft. Lauderdale”

It was simply the worst stay at a hotel in 35 years. No lock on door, a/c not working, burn holes in linen, no bath towels. Dark, dreary, run down.

“Dirty and poor service”

This was an overnight stay prior to a cruise. The carpet in the room was filthy, a room for four guests had three bath towels. When the front desk was asked for another towel we were told that we had to wait until the housekeeping staff came in. This hotel is not close to any dining or entertainment. The advertised transportation to the cruise port was provided. The overall cleanliness and upkeep were terible.

“Don't stay there!!”

This hotel should be taken off expedia's list of hotels. The hotel pool was closed by the health dept., the room was old and tattered , and if I had to spent more then one night there, I would have found something else.
