Pros: The staff was what made the experience extraordinary.
We got into the hotel tired and we were more than a bit unorganized in what we needed to do before handing our keys over to the valet. We had driven over ten hours and were super tired. The young valet was so amazing, helping us by letting us park our car within a few yards of the door while we gathered what we needed for the night, as we were leaving for a cruise the next afternoon. He was very polite and actually went out of his way helping us up to our room then allowing our car to be parked right near the front of the hotel in case we needed to come out and get something out of the car later. During check in the desk staff were equally kind and offered us free breakfast because my husband thought the parking was listed as cheaper when we made the reservation. Rather than making a big deal about it, they offered us the breakfast that was delicious. We will go back for sure.

Nice hotel with a few kinks...Posted Nov 10, 2013
This hotel is beautiful aesthetically and the staff are very friendly. They were always helpful and smiling, especially the waiter at the hotel buffet. I don't recall his name but he said everyone called him " the crazy Brazilian." The bed in our room was super comfortable, the view from our room was nice and the shower was roomy and very clean. Since this a new hotel, there are some things that just didn't work. First, they only have valet parking option which is ridiculous. They charged 25 dollars a day and we had to call every time we wanted to use the car. Not convenient and annoying. Similar issue on the beach. The hotel is located directly on the beach. Yet they charge their hotel guest 13 dollars a day fir the use of a beach chair and 75 dollars a day for the use if a double beach lounge. Shouldn't that be part of the cost of staying there? They charge 10 dollars a day for use of their Wifi...really? I would rather pay a bit more for my stay and not feel like I was being nickel and dimed. Finally, the spa is not even close to being completed and ready for use. I didn't feel like they compensated for that in any way. I think this hotel has a great future if they rethink some of their policies and continue to maintain their great staff.

Very nice hotel on the beach.Posted Oct 23, 2013
We will be back. The hotel is located at the northern end of Pompano Beach away from the other hotels and tourist areas. My wife and I found this the perfect location to relax. The hotel and restaurant staffs were excellent. Our days were spent enjoying walks along the beach, relaxing in a beach cabana or pool side, and jet skiing. Nights were spent dinning outside and relaxing at the bar next to the pool. Our room was on the fifth floor, facing the courtyard and near the front of the hotel and we still had a scenic view of the pool and beach.

Beachfront, clean and staff was wonderful.Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and spacious room, and beachfront with a balcony in our room to sit and watch the sunrise and set.
Cons: Don't charge for the chairs and umbrellas. If you feel the need to charge don't make it so expensive.
Location: There isn't much within walking distance you either need to drive or get a cab.
We stayed here for our anniversary. It was very nice to come to your room and find a bottle of Brut and strawberries on the table with a card from the staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative comment would be we went to the beach and the chairs and umbrella was not included in our stay and it was very pricy to rent 2 chairs and umbrella each day. Also the drinks were very pricy. The room was very clean and roomy. There was a walk in shower and sink space was big. We had a king bed which was very comfortable. I would recommend staying here as long as you take a credit card and cash for extras. The parking was per day and only Valet. This added up also and we didn't drive much once we got there, took taxis.

Beautiful hotel. Close to beachPosted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Nice location. Right on the beach. Excellent chef. All staff quite friendly, courteous & accommodating..
Cons: An airport shuttle would be nice & the chaise lounges used for relaxing on the beach should be free of charge.
Location: We were able to walk to the grocery store, drug store & fine dining @ Houston's. A bus is accessible right across the street or you'll need a car.
Just what we wanted for our vacation -- & more. We were quite surprised with the courtesy & friendliness we received from all the staff we encountered during our stay. The staff was also extremely accommodating to us. Looking forward to seeing you on our next vacation.

Beautiful new hotel on the beach!Posted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: See above.

This particular Marriott has done a superb job training their staff. Not one of them was any nicer or helpful than the other. The accommodations were top notch and the amenities were voluminous and complete. If and when I need to go to the Ft. Lauderdale/Pompano area, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. We stayed in the newest tower (versus the renovated tower) and it was expertly designed interiorly. Loved the shower head! The pool and outdoor bar was our go to for relaxation. Even the pool attendants were attentive and oh so nice. If there was one less than stellar point, it was to have someone remeasure for the chair height in the dining room and outdoor bar....neither one was high enough and it was comical to see people try and reach the table/bar height. No big deal. We really appreciated Jennifer telling us about the turtle season and dimmed lights, as well as the valets guiding us to some fun places. Great staff!!

Very misleading.Posted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
My receipt said full refrigerator, microwave, sitting area, spa, fax.....none of these things were available at your hotel. Very misleading. While room and hotel were nice, it was not what we were confirmed to get!

Not at Marriott caliberPosted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: it smells good thats it, except if your on the 2nd and 3rd floor then you smell food because its situated above the kitchen and exhaust duct.
Cons: SEE write your expiriance and start with that
Location: we went to Ft lauderdale and Miami because the beach was full of sea weed it was not taken care of
1) not organized, staff runs around 2) elevator was down one day 3) hot tub was not working for 4 days ( its brand new) 4) staff uses guest elevator and there is always a wait. 5) floors are not marked and you never know what floor your on. 6) no coffee station for breakfest for guest in lobby. 7) a/c units in rooms are not calibrated on and off during night, and very very loud. 8) 9th floor room sit below 14 ton roof top compresors rooms vibrate from noise. 9) staff lies, because they do not know how to answer, need to be trained. 10) no parking youyr forced to pay $25.00 per night though, expidia shows $19.00 per night. 11) maids do a horrible cleraning job, hairs are not sweeped, all horizontal surfaces have dust on them, bazthrooms tub area is just hosed down no detergant used. 12) they allow non guest to use the pool, and anyone can walk into the pool area from the street side and beach side. Mind you guys this is a one week old hotel i expected more for from Marriott im very disapointed.
