Nice little hotelPosted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: Close proximity to the beach
Cons: mattress firmness
Location: Beach, restaurants/bars, Publix, souvenir shops.
We stayed for 2 days after a cruise and found the place easily. It was a short 1 block walk to the beautiful beach. They had beach towels and beach chairs for us to use also. The room was very clean, tile floors, clean bathroom. The only things negative were the beds were a little too hard for our liking. Staff was nice and friendly. We rented a car, but we actually could have just walked to restaurants, grocery, souvenir shops in the area. Would definitely stay there again.

Older hotel, Inside is nice, close to beachPosted Feb 25, 2015
Older hotel that looks like it was remodeled recently. New tile floors, everything generally nice, clean. Pool was warm. Lounge chairs were a little limited by the pool but it wasn't terrible. Close to beach and downtown area. Lots of restaurants and some little shops. Very quiet area.

Für wenige Tage okPosted Feb 1, 2015
Das Hotel liegt recht nah am Strand, leider an einer befahrenen Straße. Die Zimmerausstattung ist gut, aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Nicely renovated small hotelPosted Jan 29, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness and quality of the renovation
Cons: A small microwave in the room would be helpful to reheat leftovers from dinner from the excellent area restaurants.
Location: The beach is a block away, and there are several great restaurants and night spots within walking distance.
We used to visit Lauderdale by the Sea many times over the years, but were turned off by formerly great hotels that were sold and went down hill fast. The Great Escape Inn was a welcome relief. It's a small older hotel, but the owners did an excellent job renovating and keeping it VERY CLEAN. Our room had a king size bed with an excellent mattress, flat screen TV, mini-fridge, small but comfortable and clean bathroom. Hotel has a pool with nice landscaping. Staff was friendly and printed out our boarding passes for us. Price was very reasonable. You're also walking distance to the beach, restaurants, grocery store, and all the amenities of Lauderdale by the Sea.

Todella mukava hotelli korttelin päässä hiekkarannPosted Jan 25, 2015
asta. Hiljattain remontoitu ja hyvin siisti pieni hotelli. Uima-allas aivan huoneiden ovien vieressä umpinaisella pihalla. Meillä pieni lapsi nukkui huoneessa ovi auki ja vanhemmat altaalla kuuloetäisyydellä. Mikroaaltouuni puuttui ja hotellin palvelut niukat, siinä oikeastaan ainut miinus. Suosittelen!

Close to Beach and groceriesPosted Jan 24, 2015
Cons: Bed was a bit harder than we prefer. Coffee maker did not make hot coffee. Only one frying pan - pretty beat up and one saucepan.
We visited Fort Lauderdale for 5 days and enjoyed our stay. The location was great for what we were doing. The pool was a perfect cool-off spot and had shade as well if we needed it. Close to grocery store and restaurants.

Pleasing Hotel close to the BeachPosted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: We liked the price, the proximity to the beach, the courtyard with tables and chairs, the pool and the shopping, restaurants that were near by.
Location: It was easy to find on A1A highway. Shopping is nearby, and the beach 2 blocks away many people were swimming, sunbathing and kite surfing.
We arrived after the Office was closed but found our room easily and it was ready waiting for us. We were going to order in food but the phone was not working properly so decided to ask people by the pool about restaurants. We then walked down about 2 blocks and found several places to eat. The next morning we met the manager. He was very friendly and accommodating allowing us late checkout and bag storage until we left for the cruise port. we spent the day walking on the beach, relaxing on the beach and playing in the surf. There was also time for some shopping and buying some groceries for a nice meal. There is a nice little courtyard with a fountain and a pool just outside the room and we were able to have our meal there. We walked down to the main street that evening and took in a street concert. After we enjoyed a late meal in a Mexican restaurant and the back to bed. In the morning we walked back to the main street to have breakfast and then had to get ready to checkout. Overall we are very pleased with our stay and would stay again when we are back to Lauderdale by the Sea.

Günstiges Hotel in StrandnähePosted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Lage, Preis/Leistung
Location: Eine Straße vom Strand entfernt
Freundliches Personal, später Check-In problemlos.

Lauderdale by the Sea MotelPosted Dec 18, 2014
Pros: Clean, quiet and reasonable. We were offered chairs and towels for the nearby beach
Convenient for restaurants, beach and pier. Relaxed resort without high rise condos.
