Nothing special for the price
Posted Jan 12, 2013
Pros: It had a balcony so my mom didn't have to go far so she could smoke. It was very clean with informed and friendly staff.
Cons: Not a kid friendly hotel. The pool didn't have much shallow place and the shower was built to be open without a door.
Location: It was 10 minutes from the beach or less.
There wasn't anything wrong with this hotel I just did not think it was worth the price. They even charged twenty one dollars a day for parking on top of what you pay for the room.

Great location and views in Ft. Lauderdale
Posted Jan 11, 2013
We stayed at the Ft. Lauderdale Marina for 5 nights last week. We requested a room with a view of the Intercoastal through Expedia and then I followed up with a phone call prior to our stay and we did get a room with a lovely view of the pool, Marina and the intercostal. However the first night we had an adjoining room to people who had a loud dispute from 4:30 am until 7:00 am. I went to the desk the next day and complained and we were upgraded to the top floor with a spectacular view of the intercoastal. Most importantly, the entire floor was so very quiet I didn't hear any sounds at all for the remainder of the stay. The lobby is very hip, bright and loud and lively so be prepared for that but on the whole I was very pleased with the hotel and especially the desk staff who were extremely accommodating.

Not as good as I expected
Posted Jan 6, 2013
Location: Wouldn't like to walk around - didn't even want to walk as far as the car park!
Carpets stained and could do with a deep clean. Just not what you expect from Hilton.

Pros: Cleanliness and beds
Cons: Prohibitive Price points on incidentals
Location: Convenient to the pier
Very clean, extremely comfortable bedding.only had one glass on Friday night,a little disappointing for an upper echelon hotel.checked in late, wanted a couple of bottles of water, they were priced out at $8.50 each + 30% delivery charge and other room service related options.there should be some more affordable options made available for a family trying to settle in for the evening late at night,It seems un just to me to ask in the $30 range for 3 bottles of water!P.S. we went to bed unsatisfied because we just wouldn't pay that sum on principal.came back on our other reservation on Monday night.checked in earlier, had the foresight to bring our own bottled water.lovely room again,no coffee cups for the 2 adults in the room this time, again disappointing for an upper echelon hotel, checked out without a cup o'joe.suggestion, lets have a few basic affordable options for a family checking in at night, lets pay attention to detail about stocking our rooms, soo many other things were right with the hotel.

An outstanding stay

Pros: The staff and the service overall
The room was great. I needed the handicapped room with a roll in shower. The staff got me the room and it worked out perfectly. The bellhops were outstanding at this hotel. Especially Russell and Richard. I can't say enough about their service

Cons: price of drinks
Location: need to walk a bit to get off site food.
We came here for our 26th anniversary. We had read all the revieews and thought we would judge it ourselves. Yes, the place is old, but it is well maintained. The staff at check in were very nice. We were given a conner suite in the tower, be sure to get an odd number that looks over the pool area. Yes, there is no hooks or bar to put your towel in the bathroom. Yes there is no "door" as you know it,( it is a sliding door) who cares!! The drinks are expensive, wait till happy hour, or walk the 15min up to the Publix up the street. We are coming back, you people that want to be catered to, go some where else, please. The water taxi close by was great , best $20 we spent. All and all we will be back. ps, there is no free shuttle from the airport or to the cruise port.

Great Fort Lauderdale Hotel
Posted Jan 2, 2013
Great hotel, excellent infrastucrure, views and location. Is a walking distance from many convenience stores, phamacies, shopping centers. It is rather a "cold" hotel but if you looking a good-well located hotel, this is the one. Hilton never let me down...

Sister Trip

The Lobby was beautiful and modern. We were greeted and guided towards the check in counter which was very welcoming and informative. (maria who checked us in was wonderful). There were shops and restaurants galore within walking distance, free shuttle to the beach and great bar/grill poolside. Asian restaurant inside hotel, didnt get to try. Gorgeous views from our balcony. Amazing pool, gets busy fast so get out there early. We stayed for two nights then went on a cruise. The port was less than two minutes away in a cab ride.
