Excellent hotelPosted Jun 3, 2013
Pros: Everything was great
Location: Great location - on the waterfront but only 5 minutes walk to beach
Holiday Isle was just great - the condo, the gardens, the location we loved it. Our condo overlooked the pool and we were side on to the inland waterway so we could sit outside our door and see the yachts sail by. The standard of cleaning was fairly good but I could have give it a good going over (I am really fussy), the main areas - kitchen and bathroom were very clean so no probs. The Manager, Jocelyn was really approachable and did everything she could to make our stay even better, the cleaner was also very helpful and kept leaving us lots of clean towels, we enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. The gardens were very well kept, the gardeners were there twice in the 10 days we were there. It was quiet and very relaxing and only a 5 min walk to the beach.

Found a gem in Ft Lauderdale! Hotel location was great situated on waterway. Hotel manager was very welcoming and hospitable. My suite of rooms offered all the amenities you could ask for and cleanliness excelled. Five minute walk to beautiful beach and great resturants.

Pros: Very peaceful resort to unwind after a cruise.
Located directly on the Inter-coastal. Very quiet and well maintained. Stayed there prior to and just after taking a cruise.

Nice place for longterm vacation.Posted May 13, 2012
The place is clean, comfortable with fancy decorations. View is good, waterfront, swiming pool is heated, 10 minutes walk to beach. Kitchen has everything you want. You just can treat it as your home. Owner is a very nice lady, I really like her and her hotel, feel so relax here.

A hidden gem in Fort LaurderdalePosted Mar 30, 2012
Cons: some nearby hotels were closed. Appliances were dated but full kitchen was very functional
Location: Away from the windy beach a few blocks and still on the water. Boat watching was fun, but water taxis were the best
We had little exposure to hotel staff. The place is a bit old but a great location right on the intercoastal waterway. The kitchen was well supplied. A full day on the water taxi which picked us up & dropped us off at the hotel was the highlight of our entire week in Florida. It was not crowded, but we meet several pleasant travelors while there. Actually, compared with an earlier stay at a fancy Marriott on Singer Island, we had a better time here.

Pros: Small and quiet. Nice outlook onto the Intracoastal Waterway. Parking in front of property.
Cons: Noisy air conditioner
Location: Not on the beach, but walking distance to it and cafes, restaurants and shops. Easy to find.
The Holiday Isle Yacht Club fulfilled all our expectations with regard to price and location. The suite has obviously had a makeover since first constructed and this has made it homely with modern decor and appliances. It was clean and tidy. The outdoor appearance of the complex is pleasing with the landscaped grounds neat and well maintained. The office staff were very helpful. We were able to walk to the beachfront and it was not far either north or south to restaurants and some shops, but a drive to the supermarket. A bonus was being able to walk to the nearby State Park which affords an oasis of untouched nature in the middle of the concrete jungle. We found it a straightforward drive from the airport and parking was by issued permit right out the front.

Horrible bathroomPosted Oct 30, 2011 on Hotels.com
The bathroom had a drain in one corner with ashower curtain around it. The shower head was a removeable one attached to a bracket on the wall. Impossible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom floor. Rooms were very plain without many ammenities. Primarily used by "snow birds" so it was very quiet and did have a nice pool and deck overlooking the intracoastal. It is actually a 50's or 60's apartment complex. Came home one day at lunch and the maid had left a key in my door but had just gone off to do something and left the door open. Office hours are 9:00 to 2:00 but check in is not until 2:00. They leave a sign on the office door telling you which apt. you are in and leave a key on the table. Don't expect help if you have a problem after 2:00. Not real convenient to stores or restaurants.
