“Hidden extras”

The hotel itself was nice. As per the title of my review there are a few things to consider when booking this or any hotel. We paid a little extra for the ocean view. When we opened the window the roof of the adjacent floor was right there extending to it's adjacent floor so we got to see the air condtioning units and the many roof vents. In the far distance we could see the ocean where it met the horizon. Also there was a $10 per day "resort charge" that as of now don't know what that was for, probably for the continental breakfast that they gave us vouchers for only one day (we stayed two). I assumed the resort fee was for the pool but once we got there they charge to use a cushioned lounge chair and for each flotation device and towels. The kicker for me was the $15 per day parking fee. I would thing being paid "guests" that that would be included. Oh, by the way, it was covered public beach parking that anyone could use for the same rate we paid. So I learned a valuable lesson here, inquire about all of the hidden extras before booking a room.

“Great beach location! Book early or get last dibs!”

A few years ago when we stayed here, we had the choice of 3 different rooms (one room was a 2bed/2ba on 2 stories!) And for a great price! But since then, I guess the hotel has sold many of their rooms as condos; so now it is often sold out. Very unfortunate because it is a great location on Hollywood Beach! About this stay: When we checked in @4:30pm (after being turned away @1pm), our specific room size was unavailable so the concierge said we could upgrade, but then another concierge took over our check-in and suddenly there were no upgraded rooms left. So we were placed in the last and probably tiniest room available! We requested a late check-out (only 1 additional hour) and the concierge stated that they were completed booked for the day and, after hesitation, could only give us an additional 15 mins! Then only 1 bell-man was working, so it took him 40+ mins to get to us from the time we called. (Hey at least we got out late check-out from them!). He was very friendly though. Convenience store in lobby and Washer/Dryer on each floor were great! Although, paying $18 for valet parking wasn't ideal when they already charge $10 "Resort Fee." Overall, its still too bad that they sold so many rooms as condos / vacation rentals. This hotel definitely does have great prices for the location (if you book early). And you can't beat being able to stop at the bar outside the back entrance for lunch/drinks before walking right onto the perfect beach!

“HOLLYWOOD SHUFFLE”

WHAT KILLS YOU ARE THE INCIDENTAL CHARGES THAT ARE DAILY SUCH AS THE TOWELS AND CLEAN ROOM FEE AND PARKING SINCE THE HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE ANY PARKING OF THEIR OWN. THE HOTEL IS OLDER BUT CLEAN. STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND HAVE 24 HR SECURITY CHECK POINT. THEY UPGRADED US FOR FREE AND WE WALKED DAILY TO BEACH AND BOARDWALK. HAD A BLAST.

“Nice older hotel”

Hotel is obviously old, but is also obviously on the rebound. The rooms were small but clean and well maintained. Free rides from the airport and to the cruise port. Continental breakfast was not much to brag about. Price was pretty reasonable. All in all would stay there again.

“Ramada Beach Hotel Review”

I spent 5 days at this hotel and was very pleased with my stay. Although the hotel is not anything high class, it is adequate and the staff is very helpful and friendly. This hotel is ideal for anyone who loves spending their vacation on the beach. The boardwalk is very convenient as it has plenty of inexpensive restaurants that are ideal for either breakfast, lunch or dinner.

“Great location but hotel needs to be honest about it condition”

This hotel is at a great location and there is a trolley stop that that takes you to Johnson street. The hotel is right on the beach and has a few conveniently located resturaunts around it. I have to agree with the other reviews and admit there is an odor to this place. Perhaps its the age of the building. Also most of the stores in the ocean walk mall are closed as well as the entire food court. I would suggest the hotel update the website. Its disspapointing to go there thinking all those places will be there to eat and they are all gone. Also outside there is a sign outside the ocean walk on the Broadwalk advertising all these eateries that are no longer there. Halve of the Tucan Tango (the breakfast location) appears to be closed down , though O'Malley's is alive and well..its just as impressive as everyone says. We ate their more than once. We used our 25 dollar credit there with no trouble either. Eddy was the bartender on duty and he was really helpful. The entire hotel staff was kind and attentive. When we first got there, the floors were a bit sticky in our room.We asked to have them cleaned and they obliged with a smile. The concierge John was very friendly and helfpful. Even the security guards were kind and friendly. I felt really good about the stay in terms of the people and there room was nice as well.

“Beautiful Location”

My husband and I have stayed here at least three different years. The biggest plus is the location on Hollywood Beach, the Broadwalk and the beautiful swimming pool. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms and beds are fine, but appliances and bathrooms are still old. The view is great, but the windows are very dirty. The complimentary breakfast used to include an omlette station, but that has been eliminated and missed. The continental breakfast is adequate. There is no restaurant inside the hotel. All in all we would stay there again because of the location.

“Mgiraldo”

It is in a good place. the service is good. The only think the hotel charge the parking and I think it is better to parking in other place near to the hotel. It is a public parking it cost 10 usd vs 18 usd hotel rate.
