Affordable beachfront nostalgic settingPosted Nov 27, 2013
Great location, right on the boardwalk. Room had everything you need including full size fridge and stove. TV was outdated though. This is a historic hotel built in the 1920's and much of the charm still comes out. I liked the fact that they have kept enough of the history in this building and yet have upgraded it enough to be comfortable for today's travelers. The wi-fi was good which is important to everyone. Even with the resort fee and the parking fee it is still a good deal for a beachfront hotel.

This hotel isn't as great as it looks. Room was outdated and run down. Be prepared to pay an outrageous amount for overnight parking, plus day rates. Parking was a nightmare! The guy at the parking garage was rude and lied to get more money from us, The elevator we were informed kept getting stuck with people in it. The room seemed dingy and dirty. I was not impressed at all. This is not what I would consider a "resort".

Close to beach and boardwalk.Posted Nov 17, 2013
Pros: Clean. Nothing else.
When we booked we read that there was a free shuttle to Cruise Terminal and Airport. However, No shuttle from Cruise terminal ($40 taxi ride), and our flight out was at 8:00 a.m. but shuttles to airport did not start that early (another $40 charge). There was also a daily charge of $10 for use of facilities, we did sit by the pool while we waited for a room to become available for checkin, but hardly worth $10. We thought we had a fairly good deal, but this doubled the price.

would not go back, hidden charges and nastinessPosted Nov 14, 2013
Hotel room was nasty and dirty, hair all over the sink, floor was sticky, filthy slow-running shower/tub. pool was nice and warm, but it closed at 6pm and you can't even check in untill 4pm... not much time there. this would all be at least expected if it was a cheaper room without the hidden charges of resort fee (+$10 per room) and parking (+$18 per day) - ridiculous! There are 1-star hotels all up and down the beach here with better facilities and prices, so don't waste your time here.

Walking to room hall ways smelled like mildew. Our A/C in our room wasn't working well. called front desk and sent over a non experienced tech. tell us A/C is blowing. felt like the fan is working not A/C unit until we told him to take out the filter which was never changed and he left it unfiltered cause didn't have. A/C was working ok everything was fine.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Nothing! horrible worst hotel I stayed in.
Cons: Shut it down would be the best improvement!
One of the two beds smelled of urine, the other bed that was supposedly just cleaned had sand all in it. The blanket on the other bed smelled of urine. At night someone else in another room was cooking and it filled our room of the burnt smell. If I could of afford it I would of just walked away and gone somewhere else, almost tempted to sleep in the airport. I checked the bed for bugs, my husband and I didnt even want to shower there. For a room that took 3 hours to clean at least ( we got there at 1230p and couldnt get a room til 3p) and the only reason we got it at that time we sat ourselves in the lobby and the boss came in. Yes check in is not til 4pm but this hotel was a ghost town and I doubt all rooms were occupied. All other hotels every where else at least tries to accomodate their guest. The maid upon check out was rude. We were getting our bags into the hallway and she made us move out of her way and then also took the elevator in front of us even though we were waiting. Also, the first time the shuttle picked us up the guy was nice, however, on drop off he was like the shuttle is complimentary tips are accepted, since unfortunately we didnt have cash we could not do that he got mad and yelled to all the curbside help that we dont have cash, dont help them and slammed the doors shut. Also the "mall" is just a coffee cart, a t-shirt store, and bike rental. The place is very very run down and should be shut down and completely renovated. Do not stay here!

Horrible.Posted Sep 23, 2013
Got to the room and their was no view and the beds were tiny. Upgraded which doubled my price for a beach view in a Penthouse suite. Nothing sweet or Pent House about this room. Could not see through the disgusting windows. Horrible stay and not worth the money.

Pros: the pool
Cons: needs a make over
Location: lot of restaurants but everything ends early.
The hotel has great location is in front of the beach. The room is not well kept the drawers were falling off, the sliding glass door keep coming out of the tracks, the coffee maker needs a better one, not enough pressure on the bathroom. but we have to remember this Hotel was built in 1927. It was a good deal for 3 days anyway!
