Relaxing Get-A-Way

Posted Feb 8, 2015
Pros: Quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
Location: About a mile away from the beach or the excitement of Las Olas Blvd restaurant and shops
This was a small hotel - 8 rooms only. Clean, comfortable with pleasant staff. Great courtyard with a heated pool. Our room had a kitchen and living area as well as a separate bedroom. Continental breakfast was served ...except Sundays.

Great find in Fort Lauderdale

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Kira-Mar is a great little boutique style motel that was the perfect place for us! Location was superb, close to Las Olas Blvd for shopping and meals and also a wonderful walk to the famous Fort Lauderdale Beach. The managers did all they could to make our stay enjoyable, and have a wonderful spot for folks to enjoy. Other guests were friendly and courteous. I'd be happy to stay there again if I am ever back in town!

Not a hotel (it's a condo)

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: In a safe part of town. Reasonably clean. Very pretty pool area.
Kira-Mar appears to be a condo/apartment complex that was repurposed as a hotel, without the hotel amenities. The rooms are outdated and not particularly comfortable. There were no food facilities available, and not much available within reasonable walking distance (we ended up ordering pizza). The front office is only open from 10am-5pm, and closed around 4:30pm without warning the night we stayed (we needed some assistance around 4:45pm).

Clean, Comfortable, & Friendly

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable, & friendly
Cons: Parking, & a better view of the canal . The room could have used a portable luggage rack & a couple of throw rugs around the bed
Location: Off of Las Olas Blvd. which can take you over to A1A and the beach or back towards town with restaurants & shops
Well maintained two story exterior cooridor building without elevator and cramped parking. The experience was like staying at a person's house in their guest room which was a small apartment. The canal front building does not allow for access up & down the shore of the canal since it is in a residential neighborhood and your view of the canal is blocked by the large boats renting their docks. The owner operators made you feel welcome.

Clean and Comfortable

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and comfort.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Las Olas Blvd with many great restaurants and shops. The Beach.
We arrived on Friday for a birthday weekend. From beginning to end this was a great stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The room had a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen with a table, all nicely decorated. The location was very convenient to Las Olas Blvd. with all of its restaurants and shops, as well as a maybe 20 min. walk to the beach. The owners were so very nice and will do anything for their customers. This is a place we will return to again and again !!

Lovely small personal hotel

Posted May 10, 2014
Pros: Location, ambience and size
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to beach, riverfront and restaurants.
This is a lovely small quiet hotel located on one of the Fort Lauderdale canals. It was a perfect location to relax . We took advantage of the BBQ facilities meaning we were able to eat dinner at our own private table next to the canal followed by a night time swim in the pool. The owners Reggie and Natalie live on site . They are very welcoming and provide a complimentary continental breakfast by the pool to start your day. We would definitely return .

Handy for everything

Posted Apr 9, 2013
Pros: Location. Handy for the beach and down town without having to drive there and park
Cons: nothing
Location: Very easy to find and plenty of parking
Great little hotel complex in Fort Lauderdale. Just 30 minutes easy walk to the beach, turn left at the bottom of Hendricks, and 20 minutes in the other direction puts you in down town Fort Lauderdale. Nice pool area with plenty of shade if thats what you whant
