Pros: 5th time there and can't wait till the next time.
Cons: Expand the resturant menu, it's pretty limited.
Wonderful place if you want to enjoy the beach without all the people!

WOW! So this is how the other half live?

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: The staff was exceptional.
We ended our 2 week Florida vacation with a bang by spending the last 3 days at Lago Mar. My best description is....just...wow. Fantastic facility right on the beach with 2 pools and every amenity you could want. Great suite and the food is top notch.

Best Boutique Hotel In Ft. Lauderdale

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: All of the above plus free valet parking and WiFi internet access as well as a great Office Room with a printer.
Cons: The only missing thing was a shoe horn - - but I had one in my toiletry bag.
Location: The location is fantastic - - right on the ocean and close to everything else you would want to see and do in Ft. Lauderdale.
When we arrived early at 11 AM the Front Desk Mgr was able to accommodate us and even upgraded us to a suite. The facilities are beautiful - - landscaping, pools, large beach area - - the lobby is fantastic with wonderful mosaic floor artwork. The dining room is large yet very comfortable - - the food is great. The entire staff is very courteous, helpful and cheerful. Our room had a king size bed in one room and a sitting/work desk room, two flat screen TVs, a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and two balconies that overlooked the pools and ocean. Also, the room's bathroom had both a tub and shower with some of the best amenities - - great towels and toiletries. We used the Workout Room which is well equipped twice, and while we did not have time to use it, the Spa looked to be wonderful. When we return to Ft. Lauderdale we will definitely stay at the Lago Mar again if it is available.

Great resort on the beach

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Visiting family in the Fort Lauderdale area, wanted a hotel on the beach. Lovely facility. Was there 'off season' at the end of September, requested a beach view room, they gave me an upgrade (the hotel was pretty empty during my stay). Unfortunately the large pool, featured in all the facility pictures was under repair. Was not open the entire week I was there. Expedia did not let me know this when booking. Front desk clerk said they repair the pool every year at the same time.

Great hotel on the beach

Posted Sep 27, 2014
Great location and wonderful beach. Rooms are comfortable and spacious with two very nice pools if you don't like the sea. Free 'old style' beach chairs on the beach but if you want a comfortable modern sun lounger and umbrella expect to pay quite a hefty price for it. Limited catering on site if you are staying for a long period but the hotel is close by to a range of restaurant types. As with most US cities it's recommended to hire a car but it is possible to get around efficiently by taxi getting to most places and downtown for twenty dollars one way. I recommend this hotel if you want a nice relaxing base to explore from.

Excellent Hotel Directly on the Beach

Posted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: lovely staff
Cons: vacumming the pool, which had lots of sand by the steps because people come from the beach and rinse off in the pool
Location: Its in Harbor Beach. there are restaurants on site, and you really need a car to go any place, unless you like to walk far.
We stayed for 5 nights. The Staff was excellent all around from the concierge to the front desk, to the staff in the soda shoppe. Our room was a basic room 2 beds. always kept clean and cleaned early. The hotel was fairly empty due to the off season. We basically had most of the hotel to ourselves, especially the 2 pools. Free parking, Free Wifi, make this hotel a great choice. Yes its a bit out of the way (really need a car) We will definitely stay again, but in a bigger room.

There was a smell of kids poop on the carpet in the hallway close to our room for 2 days or more, I would expect that it got cleaned much earlier My rosary and 2 religious pendants were stolen that was a gift for me from a friend who is a close friend of Pope Paul John. I accidentally left on the writing desk . I left a message on the day of our checkout in the hotel's housekeeping Manager to check with housekeeper but no response .
