Comfortable room, parking is bad

Posted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: very comfortable beds and clean rooms
Cons: Parking - either build it into the price or drop it......too annoying. Inconveniencing customers to force them to use valet is not good business.
Location: Close to Lauderdale by the Beach which has a nice pier and restaurants plus activities on the weekend.
Nice location off the beaten path. Beds were comfortable, spacious rooms, refrigerator and microwave, countertop in bathroom was too small. The pool was out of order but they offered free beach chair rental. Staff was polite. Parking was sore point, you will pay $15 per day to park across the street (hope it doesn't rain) or more if you want their valet service. Most of the time the lot near the hotel was empty but if you don't want to pay for the valet you can't park there. It felt like we were being nickled and dimed regarding parking. Otherwise not too bad. This was our second time there but due to parking we may try elsewhere next year.

Nice hotel on the beach

Nice older hotel among residential apartments along Fort Lauderdale beach. Art Deco styling in the lobby and corridors. Staff polite and friendly.

hotel on the beach!

Posted Oct 24, 2014
pool is being redone. compensate by offering beach chairs & umbrella and 2 drinks. Well it rained during our stay. :( the hotel room was leaking in the bathroom and the air conditioner kept going off. The balcony was great and the neighboring Tiki bar had great food.

Beautiful view with direct access to the beach

They charged you to sit on certain chairs and the pool was unavailable the whole time. .

There were strands of hair all over the beds and shower when I checked in. The wifi barely worked and my cell phone wouldn't work in the room.

Great view but that's it.

I enjoyed the view from our room. But the hotel was very pricey. They charge for everything. They even charge 76 cents for a stamp when anywhere else you get them for 40. The pool was closed and has been for awhile. They charged me 11.50 for a simple Margarita. Also make sure you have money for the deposit, when I called and made my reservations they didn't tell me about it I found out as I was checking in. You are better off going to Winn-Dixie and stocking up your room before spending money on hotel food that is nasty. My advice go to one of the other hotels.

Great location - quiet location - right on beach

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Great location, all rooms have balconies with partial ocean view, nice clean hotel
Cons: Air conditioner was a little loud - but didn't keep me from sleeping.
This was a very good hotel the only problem was the pool was closed for repairs and you didn't find this out until arrival. The good thing was I asked for a room with a better view (since the pool was closed) and I got a great one. Very nice staff, was off season so hotel was not busy at all either.

The photos of our room online showed a kitchen/dinette area, however the room we stayed in was small with a mini frig and microwave pushed against the wall on the opposite side of the beds. The balcony view was great, with a view of the beach on one side, and if the city skyline in the other. It was always quiet and peaceful. Other than the small living quarters and the fact that the pool was closed, we enjoyed every other facet of our stay and would surely return and recommend a stay here to our friends who don't plan to spend all that much time in their room.

Great location

When we got to the hotel we found out that the pool was under construction, if I knew about the pool I never would have booked this hotel. Beds were very uncomfortable. Tiki bar next door is nicer and chair rentals are cheaper.
