“Beautiful vintage hotel with today's comforts!”

This hotel was our style: Vintage on the beach comfort! Loved it and was happy with everything. When you stay in an owner suite you don't have to pay the daily resort fee but if you choose room service it costs an extra fee per day but is voluntary. They have a washer and dryer you can use to clean your towels for $0.50 cents. They gave us free drinks at the bar because their guaranteed check in at 4pm went over by 30 minutes and we didn't mind because of that. :-) The bed was comfy and every room has a balcony I think. It has a lazy river with floats that is heated, which we took advantage of because I hate cold water. It was really windy the 3 nights we were there so that was too bad but on a nice quiet day it is lovely to go on the beach and their pool is very nicely supplied with lawn chairs that recline and side tables for drinks. Servers come out to ask if you want something to drink too which is a nice convenience. I overall recommend this place. If you can get into a suite with ocean view do that because we wished we had. They look really nice!

all was excellent--the room, the spacious and tastefuk lobby(not too modern-had an old-world feeling to it. The pool,ocean, and the outside service was very helpful. Being right on the ocean really was cool! Very satisfied!

Staff is really friendly and specially room service staff; specifically Bernard. He would go out of his way to make sure I enjoyed my food and was comfortable. Excellent place for a gateway from daily life. I stayed in a beachfront suite. Amazing view of the Atlantic.

An awesome place to relax and have fun. The Victorian style of the hotel was very picturesque - especially the front porch looking over the ocean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Not cheap, but definitely worth it. And Fort Lauderdale is a great place for everything from the beaches to an art museum to tons of restaurants. Make sure you take the water taxis- there's a stop just a few blocks from the hotel. And we're looking forward to staying again next year.

We have stayed at the Pelican Grand several times. Management has changed and continues to be a great place to stay. Clean, good food, private beach, and friendly helpful staff.

I have stayed at this hotel before, and everything was as expected. The particular room I was in was supposed to be a view of water...the intercostal. NOT!!! The view was of a busy highway. The furniture was worn and did not appear to be clean. The hotel itself...fabulous. This room...not so fabulous
