“A Perfect place to stay!”

The hotel was lovely. The room was perfect! Sunrise was beautiful every day. Everything was very clean and spacious. I loved how the door could be closed to separate the two rooms, which allows for privacy. We stayed on the 10th floor which was a tad too high, but my preference is floors 4-7. The beach was impeccably clean and the pool/beach staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. This pool is heated and overlooks the ocean so I enjoyed going from ocean to pool easily. The valet car service was fast and friendly. We were told tips were not expected but appreciated, and we never felt guilty if we didn't tip. It was a bit of a pain when we wanted to stop back to the hotel quickly and had to use the valet, but a few times we told them we'd be back down and they left the car in front for us; this worked well since it was not super busy. The rooms were cleaned well each day and plenty of towels were provided without needing to ask. Cleanliness; gave it a 4 only because along the walls behind the bed (you could see because it is an open iron headboard) was in need of vacuuming, and the vents in the wall could be painted (they were rusty). But otherwise the hotel seemed spotless! You really feel like you are in a classy hotel! Comfort I gave a 4 because the mattress was too soft and we seemed to roll to the middle, so new mattresses would be nice. My back was killing me and I almost requested a new room. We had to pull ourselves away from this relaxing getaway!

If you do stay at the Pelican Grand and do not have a car you can still get around with cabs and the bus system very easily.

“Wonderful Fort Lauderdale hotel on the beach!”

Wonderful hotel, great location. Loved the lazy river, the rocking chairs overlooking the beach, and the wonderful beachfront. Restaurant was delicious, especially the fantastic Sunday brunch! Oceanfront suite was spacious and had a gorgeous view, furniture could be updated though. Staff were terrific, everyone was friendly. We will definitely return!

“25th Anniversary Stay”

We had a wonderful time. We stayed in an ocean front room on the 4th floor and it was a spectacular view. The 11th floor view was great for pictures. The staff at their Oceanside restaurant went above and beyond to help us celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I don't have one negative thing to say. If you want to be pampered, stay here. :)

Since we chose this hotel for its convenient location and exceptional amenities, we were not surprised to enjoy them. What came as a wonderful surprise were the spacious and stylish rooms as well as the superior service. Our experience in this hotel surpassed our expectations.

The room was spacious, beautiful decorated, and above all clean. It had provisions such as small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. These conveniences made it easy to have snacks on hand for children who tend to have fickle palates. Unfortunately during our stay it rained 3 of 5 days but not to fear the lazy river saved the days as it is heated and kept the kids entertained for hours which meant it saved me from being tortured in a children's museum for an entire day. The pools were cleaned and free of debris and the pool staff is amazing. Will definitely be back come rain or come shine.

“Great Experience for the family.”

This was my first visit at the Pelican. I was little worried because I reaching out to try something new. I was very impressed. We had a wonderful time and loved the beach front access directly from the hotel. Very nice in the evening to set out and listen to the ocean and join the music. The beach was cleaned every morning and the staff had the chairs out by 8:00 am for us early risers.
