“Good value for your money”

There is a small problem with the amount of available parking at the hotel but otherwise, this hotal offers real good value for the price.

“Great little hotel!”

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff was very accomodating, the rooms were clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. This is not a high-end hotel, so if that's what you are looking for, this isn't it. What it IS, is a nice, little hotel. The pool area is immaculate as is the garden area. It is close to area attractions, such as the Hard Rock Casino and Hard Rock Live. The only real criticism I would have would be the breakfast, as the room is incredibly tiny. The food wasn't fantastic, but I didn't really expect it to be. Give this hotel a try. We will definitely go back again.

Hard Rock Casino and Hotel is a great place and you can catch really good concerts at the Hard Rock Live.

“Not what we expected”

The pictures for this hotel are very deceptive. From the photos, we thought we were getting a decent deal. But the rooms are small, the bathroom was incredibly tiny, the breakfast room didn't fit all the people there, and the food was just okay. If you are looking for convenient and cheap, it's okay. But there are probably other places I would go.

“I would stay again”

We were pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The staff was friendly, and professional. I would recommend this place for those on a tight budget who want a clean room for a good price. The only problem we had, was there was not enough parking in the front of the building, and had to park in the back.

“Outdoor Hotel Be Aware”

The Hotel is more like a Motel. When we first checked in their internet services were down and the receptionist had to arrange rooms manually. She put us in a room that had a very strong smell. Carpet had huge dirt spots on it. We then asked for another room, not realizing that room was almost at the street, so it was very loud due to busy street.(Not the alarm clock went off at another room, right below this already noisy room, right around 2am, I was vry mad. Had to get up, go to front desk, tried to find the room to finally shut it off). NOW WHEN BOOKING THIS HOTEL, BE AWARE THAT THIS IS AN "OUTDOOR HOTEL", more like a motel to me. It is located on a very busy road, so there are only 2 rooms that reduce the noise from the street, room 119 and 219. Staff however, did not hesitate to accommodate our needs and moved us once again to room 219. The room itself was clean, carpets need to be updated and/or washed as they had spots all over. 10-15 minutes ride to Hollywood Beach. Keep in mind, if you book a 2-star hotel, you'll get a 2-star hotel. Thanks to Maritza, the hotel manager for being so kind and doing everything to make us happy, she was the reason why we stayed after it all.

Area recommendations

Hollywood Beach is very nice. There is a long boardwalk by the ocean with restaurants, shops and bars all along. Near the hotel there are plenty of food choices. Near Hollywood Beach is Taverna Opa, a greek restaurant that offers a true Greek experience. They serev food very late too, which is a PLUS. Miami, Fort Lauderdale are not far at all.

“great place to stay for the price. convient and quaint.”

The hotel was comfy, clean and pet friendly. There is a great place to eat across the street called ricky's. Nice staff. Check in and out was convient. Close to Fortlauderdale and Miami.

“Don't Always Book a Hotel Based on Location”

I selected this hotel based on the distance from an early morning presentation. I will never make that mistake again. When I pulled up to the hotel, it was obvious from the exterior that the accomidations I am used to would be less. I checked in, where it appeared the hotel did not have modern credit card or computer equiptment. My room smelled musty/moldy. The bathroom was extremely small, and I am not sure how often they mop the tile floor, but my feet were black after walking around bare foot for 10 minutes. Did I mention that I was woken up at midnight due to a screaming match around the pool which almost broke out into a fist fight with 10 feet from my door? The good news is if you make a wrong turn and drive a few blocks, you can find plenty of placed to get your checks cashed, and then walk next door to the pawn shop. I will never stay here again.

We welcome comments, both favorable and critical, from our guests as we strive to constantly improve the quality of our hotel and our guest's experience with us. We are most disturbed that your stay was less than satisfactory. Of particular concern were the guest's comments about cleanliness. We have been the proud recipients, for three consecutive years, of the prestigious White Glove Award from Florida's Superior Small Lodging. "The White Glove Award is our organization's highest recognition for housekeeping achievement," said Donna Boucher, SSL's executive director. "Properties must receive a Total Housekeeping Score of 100% in their annual review to receive this award." We have brought this guests comments to the attention of our housekeeping staff and are assured it will never happen again. As for the poolside ruckus, while we cannot prevent guests from becoming a disturbance, we do take immediate action to stop such behavior including, if necessary, asking the guest to leave for the comfort and quiet of other guests. Most assuredly this is not a regular occurrence and we regret the inconvenience. We regret that we do not offer check cashing services but this is typical rather than an exception. As a small, boutique hotel we are simply not set up to offer such services but we are located very near numerous banking institutions with ATM machines.

“Stay far away!”

The Inn & Suites reference to this hotel is ridiculous. This a typical two story 1970s MOTEL with outside entrances, virtually no parking and zero secure parking, a tiny breakfast area (2 tables - are you kidding me!) crammed into the check in desk space, in a very bad part of town. I would not come within 10 miles of this hotel again. I was VERY disappointed.

We are very sorry this guest was so disappointed with their stay. We are recognized as a small (only 40 rooms), intimate, boutique hotel, located, not in a bad part of town at all, but, rather, on Hollywood Blvd., very near the civic center and convenient to the famous restaurants and shopping of downtown Hollywood. In spite of its small size there is ample parking for all guests. And while the hotel was, indeed, built in the 1970’s, the entire property with its oversized rooms have been tastefully remodeled and all beds feature Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses for extraordinary comfort. In addition to winning the White Glove Award for 3 consecutive years, in 2009 we received the Hollywood Gazette’s prestigious Best of Hollywood Contest for best AAA rated lodging in Hollywood. Trip Advisor ranks us # 15 out of 61 Hollywood hotels. We take great pride in the fact that the vast majority of guests greatly enjoy their stays and many of our guests return again and again.
