“Take photo with a grain of salt.”

This is a lovely hotel with a beautiful lobby and comfortable rooms. The food was excellent, both in the dining room and from room service. The beds have down comforters and abundant pillows. We did find it curious that they did not replenish the shampoo, conditioner etc. when they made up the room the second and third day - ditto the glasses and coffee service. But they did respond quickly when the error was pointed out. The desk was very friendly. The restaurant is pricey. The pool is very nice; the workout room is small. The hotel overlooks a major expressway - something the photos conveniently leave out. I thought from the pictures that it would be a little more secluded. The "spa" is offsite, and not run by the hotel. I would go back, but with a more realistic expectation of what I would find.

“Ft. Lauderdale Renaissance”

The Renaissance - Ft. Lauderdale was a nice clean hotel. It had good exercise and leisure facilities as well as a nice dining area. Perfect for business!

“Great hotel For a pre/post cruise night”

A very nice hotel, especially recommended for short stay. Laundry room, pool, short walk to local supermarket mall though you do have to cross some four lane highways - would be nice if there was a complimentary shuttle. Believe it or not the on site gym is actually modern, clean and relatively large! Most hotels that advertise "health centers" usually stick a couple old exercise bikes and rusty dumb bells in an old closet and call it a gym - this place has an executive style small exercise space with about half a dozen new cardio machines, free weights and machines. I like to burn off stress exercising so this was quite a treat for me.

Very clean, everyone very friendly. The breakfast buffet is good but pricey at $16 per person. The hotel is at a nasty intersection, very hard to get into the driveway during morning and evening rush hour traffic. The lobby entrance is not very well marked, just looks like a set of double doors. Had to call twice for wash cloths, the one evening we never did receive them.....we were asked if we wanted the USA Today in the mornings but never did receive that either.

hotel was on par with other renaissance properties, but location was in an office park, with no amenities within easy walking distance. quality of hotel service was below par. front desk person was of absolutely no help with any of the three things i inquired about.
