“Nice Getaway”

I loved the location. Directly on the beach. After a quick check in we were having a cold one at the Tiki Bar within minutes. Friendly staff gave us ideas of places to go and see. Music at Tiki was great! Rooms were comfortable with kitchens. I went down with a buddy, but am looking at returning with my family.

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful. Kool Tiki bar and the pirates that hangout there, the entertainment was great . If you want to socialize or just take a moment to be alone its all up to you. If your looking for Great price,great place and great people this is it.

“I would stay again.”

Lisa made us feel right at home. Explaining where the beach chairs, beach towels,etc are located. The tiki bar did have alot of regulars/locals (as noted in other reviews) but they where fun and friendly. The daily entertainment was awsome and made it feel like a beach vacation.

“Great choice for this area”

This section of Hollywood has a lot of small, modest, two story hotels close to or on the Boardwalk and the wide, spotless beach. The Riptide is one of the best. Friendly staff, clean rooms with updated kitchenettes, right on the Boardwalk. The best part is a friendly atmosphere, exemplified in the tacky but friendly and festive Tiki Bar facing the beach, where you can get beer and wine and hear some OK music and wile away the hours in good company. If you are heading for this neighborhood, you could do lots worse and not a lot better.

“Ok, but not heaven”

Riptide is a little overpriced, but funky. Free bikes - 2 of 4 did not work, beach chairs were fine. TV remote didn't work, but was corrected. Entertainment at Tiki Bar was somewhat intrusive. This is a party place, but could be fun under right circumstances.
