“Enjoyed our stay”
We stayed in the newer tower...I heard the rooms in the older part are smaller. Guests should be aware that the pool is across the street from the hotel. This hotel is very convenient for those wanting to visit the shops and restaurants of Las Olas.
“Such a Romantic Site”
The hotel is right in the heart of things in Fort Lauderdale. The walk on Los Olas was fun and offered shopping, eating and nightlife. We had to drive to the beach but then we are not big beach people so that wasn't a big deal. The swimming pool was very nice. Riverwalk is a short walk away as well as the Art Museum.
“Muy recomendable y bien conectado”
La playa queda como a media hora caminando o 5 min en bus. El hotel esta francamente bien
“Riverside Hotel-Ft. Lauderdale”
The Riverside Hotel provides excellent services and amenities for business travellers to the Ft. Lauderdale business district. The hotel is within walking distance, or a short cab ride, of many of the area's first class office buildings. The hotel has a great bar and a number of good restaurants. Sidewalk tables are available.
“Lovely Hotel in Great Area”
The Riverside is a place I have long wanted to stay during one of my trips to Fort Lauderdale and I was not disappointed by the actual experience. The hotel has been restored beautifully and the addition of the Tower section was done seamlessly. We stayed there for an additional cost that was well worth it as we had a spacious room that overlooked the Intracoastal. The staff are unfailingly polite and gracious. The hotel is located on Las Olas Boulevard, in the same area as many upscale shops and restaurants, so it was easy to walk out the front door and have many options from which to choose. The carpet in the room had a large stain where something had obviously spilled and been cleaned, and this marred an otherwise lovely room with great amenities. In addition to the king sized bed, there was a desk with high speed Internet access and a table with four chairs at which my husband could also work. However, I found the mattress far from the quality of the plush comfort mattresses most hotels are now using, even lower end hotel chains, and this made for three less-than-ideal nights of sleeping. Nonetheless, there was no noise from the busy street below, which was a plus. The only other negative comment I have relates to the parking costs. Parking in the garage across the street costs $18 a day and valet parking was $23. After the first day, I found a lot on the corner, with direct access into the hotel from a side door, for less than $12 a day.
“Nice downtown Hotel”
We got in early on sunday our room was ready. The room was in the new part wonderful view of river and port. Enjoyed the river walk and Los Olas shops. Recomend the Peach Cobbler Cheescake from Cheesecake Factory Great way to end fantastic day !
“Good location, comfortable rooms but some with high noise level”
Excellent location with clean comfortable rooms in original section that are a little on the small side. Nice pool but access requires crossing a quiet street. One side of the old section of the Hotel is located next roof of 1st level and the HVAC inlets with a continuos high level of fan noise. Hotel apologized and moved us to another section which was quiet.
“We're regulars here!”
Just make sure you book the tower rooms if you like luxury. The older historic part of the hotel, the rooms they call "standard" are old, smelled slightly moldy to me and have teeny tiny bathrooms. They are renovated with carpets and beds but they are just not the 4 star, spacious, lovely accomadations that the tower has.
“Bright but beautiful”
This hotel was very exclusive and upscale - wonderful for a romantic wedding weekend getaway; however, our room was in the "older section," which overlooked the trendy Las Olas Blvd. by day but was somewhat loud at night as people left the nightlife locations. Also, the heavy curtains did not completely block out the light, so it was BRIGHT in the mornings. Would go back, but I'll ask for a room in the newer part next time.
“Great Fort Lauderdale Hotel”
Great location and a beautiful hotel, too!
