Great accommodations in the heart of Las Olas!

Lovely old country hotel. The service was excellent with several restaurants and bars attached. Loved being able to walk to most venues. Only negative was that all TV programming geared to men and children. Would have liked HGTV and USA.

Very impressed

I booked my trip through Expedia. I hadn't been to Ft. Lauderdale before so I rented a rental car. The hotel is on the main strip, in the center of dinning and small boutique stores. The scenery is magnificent. High class, clean. The floors have a gloss that makes them shine as if they were wet. I couldn't hear anyone next to me nor was I able to hear the music on the first floor. Will go back again. We didn't need a car because the boat behind the hotel takes you to the beech.

Pros: Excellent location! The service was also excellent. Everyone was helpful.
We were there for a wedding. The hotel staff were excellent, and tried to help us with all of our needs. They were able to accommodate our special requests, and everything went wonderfully well.

Downtown Ft Lauderdale

Pros: LOCATION and Comfortable - very comfortable!
Cons: Furnishings - my room had a chair and ottoman that matched my patio wicker furniture.
Location: Location - "EXCELLENTA"...totally in the middle of everything on Las Olas - and everything is off Las Olas
I am a residence of the South Florida area - my hubby and I just wanted to get away for the weekend. We always stay on the beach - this time of year its really too breezy for us so we chose Las Olas. PERFECT......this hotel is in the middle of "everything". The hotel is very old school south Florida so it was nice - just don't expect FANCY SMANCY - we even got free WiFi. Its right on the intercoastal so its a great place to do the water taxi -party taxi - drink and eat. If you want the beach - its not far - and yet not close. "I" wouldn't want to walk the beach because I wouldn't feel like walking all the way back - but there are plenty of alternative ways of getting back and forth. The boutiques - great and they stay open pretty late for strolling along at night. Over all - had a great time and everyone at the hotel were great as well. We don't get downtown very often so we walked and learned just like the tourist.

location location location!

Cons: Bigger rooms. Updated furniture.
It's the only hotel right on the Las Olas Strip. Walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops! No need for taxi's. Great for birthdays b/c don't have to worry about Designated drivers. It is pretty pricey though. it's a $17 charge for overnight parking, $10 charge for a mini fridge and room service was $33 for just 2 beers and a vegetarian flatbread.

Very pleasant hotel in a very trendy area

Posted May 7, 2014
Pros: Restaurants were good and the position was excellent.
Location: Water taxi, riverside walks, bus ride to the beach
We enjoyed almost everything about the hotel except for the piano player. His choice of music was pleasant and suitably chosen but having the piano amplified was very noisy. It did mean that the lounge was so noisy that we were unable to use it for having a drink with friends. Conversation was impossible
