A Pleasant One NightPosted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: Old world feel with new and modern upgrades to rooms. Beautiful tile floors in the lobbies and hallways.
Cons: We were completely satisfied with the facilities and the attitude and attention of the every staff member we encountered.
Location: I mentioned the close proximity of restaurants and shops and to the River, all within a short walk from the hotel.
We were only there one night on our way to a cruise from Miami. The hotel is charming, staff very helpful and anticipated our needs. The location is superb and we walked to scout out several restaurant choices, then took the water taxi for a great sightseeing trip on the New River after dinner.

Overnight stayPosted Oct 13, 2013
Pros: Was easy to find, relatively close access to Interstate 95 without the feel of being in an Interstate hotel.
Cons: Needs upgrading, the bathroom was small. The parking fees are a little stiff if whether you park yourself or use the Valet service.
Location: This hotel was located in the beautiful downtown area, shops, restaurants and entertainment within walking distance.
Was on a return trip from out of country to see a friend. Staff was excellent, hotel could stand some modernization, especially for the price. The parking fees whether you self park or use the Valet service add about a 1/4 more to the bill, so be aware.

AhhhhPosted Oct 10, 2013
The location is great but - a big but - the room needs work. Stained carpet, old doors with bad paint jobs, front door had to be slammed to lock and staff acted and looked truly depressed. I have stayed at this hotel 2 or 3 times before and ever had an issue. I wonder what went wrong?

Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Update rooms.
Location: Starbucks is down the street. Really like The Royal Pig, great food and drinks. Big City Tavern across the street has great food and is open til 3 am.
Enjoyed my stay with a could if friends. Hotel room could use a refresher, but was comfortable. Greatl location near great restaurants and bars. Really Like this side of Las Olas. Feels cleaner and safer. Hotel is charming, but needs a little work.

Nice hotel!Posted Sep 16, 2013
Pros: Friendly/helpful staff
Cons: Room appearance
Location: Great nightlife in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.
From the second I pulled up to the hotel I was very pleased with the warm welcome and cozy atmosphere. The staff is beyond great and goes above and beyond to do anything they can to help you. From the Valet to the front desk they were all so sweet. The only thing that threw me off was when we checked in the guy at the front raved about how the room we were in had just been renovated and we would be the first people to stay in it. (Which we were very excited about) When we got to our room it did not look newly renovated at all. It looked like it needed to be renovated badly due to its "old" appearance. Regardless, I would stay here again. Also, they are pet friendly which is a plus!
