Cozy and comfortable.Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: It is a historical building so it isn't like a typical stuffy hotel. Again, the staff are super friendly and give you that warm fuzzy feeling. Food
Across the street from the beach. Close to shops restaurants. Staff VERY friendly - never felt like we were in inconvience. The food at the hotel was great and the rooms were clean.

Ok hotel across from BeachPosted Feb 28, 2015
Only stayed one night. Had to pay fee for safe but couldn't even use it as it did not work. The tub was clogged and had to shower with water shall way to my knees from the previous shower. Room outdated.

Great location!Posted Feb 21, 2015
The hotel is undergoing renovations. I'm sure when they are finished the place will look great. There was some annoyance from workers drilling into concrete outside the hotel to install railings until 8PM one night and starting at 7:30 the next day. Hotel staff apologized for it after being told the next day. There's free parking out back. If the hotel is full it can be tough to find a spot; sometimes no spots were left. There was parking in a garage under the hotel on those occasions. While convenient, you have to leave your keys or risk being awakened if you're car is blocking someone. The restaurant overlooking the beach has a great view but only so-so food. Service is friendly. Menus could use a good cleaning from leftover food. There are beach towels and sand chairs available although we didn't know that until we were checking out after a 4 day stay. The pool is nice but doesn't get sum until late in the day. Overall it was a good stay and good value. Ask for a room facing south, as north facing rooms are about 25 feet from the next building.

Economy hotel across from the beach - ECONOMYPosted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Kind of a kitchy 50's architecture in the lobby that was fun. Great deck for watching the surf. They have some updated furniture and fabrics in rooms.
Cons: Bathroom fixtures, hallway flooring and decor.
We came down on 2015 Valentines/Presidents Day weekend and almost everything was sold out. What wasn't sold out was at peak pricing so we decided to save money and stay at the Sea Club. Front desk staff is a crap shoot - a nice older man checked us in, loaned us beach chairs and towels and got us an early check in. Other front desk personnel sort of ignored me until I asked for help. Cleaning lady argued with me because we had a late checkout, she came back twice trying to clean the room before our checkout time. Restaurant staff ran between friendly and gruff.

Une très mauvaise expérience. Hotel miteux!!!Posted Feb 17, 2015

Location, across street from beach.Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!
Cons: Better Wi-Fi sig. A little better detail cleaning.
Hotel has made an effort to up grade the facilities and has some what succeeded. Some bathroom tiles were painted and are now peeling and difficult to clean. There was a mix-up on our reservation and they were going to change our room in the middle of our stay but after some "conversation" with the management it was corrected to our satisfaction. Free parking is provided in the back of the bldg. but it is limited in size. Free Wi-Fi but it was week and sporadic. But if you sit in the pool area it was stronger. Location was great, right across from the beach and .8 mile walk to the beach scene. No free continental breakfast but the restaurant was sufficient for a reasonable price, but windy exposure. The rate was on the highside considering the comparisons to other similar hotels. Many of the equivalent hotels are being demo'd for very expensive condos along the beach.

Access to cruise deprturePosted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Updating esp. in bathroom and closet area. Safe was hard to access.
Location: Across the street from the beach. Restaurants and shops nearby.
This was one of the less expensive hotels in Ft. Lauderdale in January. At that, it was not a bargain. It was old. First view was a rag on the floor under the AC and filthy window. Bathroom was very outdated with sink falling off the wall (split in caulk). It would be desirable to have free shuttle from airport and to cruise pier.
