“Great place - Right on the beach with great food (Little Venice) right next door! Ya Gotta Go !”

Is a great hotel. My daughter was in a wedding in Miami so we flew in from VA. The staff was excellent and hotel very clean and convenient. The one entrance is under renovation so was dark at night and felt scarey - however the front desk is RIGHT there at the entrance and is manned 247 and by by Men for the night shift - so we felt safe - coming and going at all hours. Little Venice next door has great service and awesome grilled chicken ceasar salad and cappuccinos! All right on the ocean front and resonable priced. Renovations to open up entire entrance to the beach to be completed in Sept 2011. Would stay again if ever in Florida!

“We'll be back!”

This Grand Old Lady of a hotel is wonderful. The location couldn't be better, right on the board walk within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and the beach is next door. The staff is wonderful. They provided a blow dryer, extra coffee and beach chairs, towels and an umbrella and were just very friendly and helpful. We had the king bed, partical ocean view and it was great. The room was clean and confortable and the A/C worked well. Just so you know, the new owner is putting a lot of money into this hotel so there was construction going on and until the construction is completed, there are areas of the hotel that are tired, but go now and ask to be put on their preferred list and get a discount when the renovation is complete.

“Great location”

The hotel was exactly what I was expecting from reading other reviews. They were undergoing a renovation. There was some noise late one night, but nothing past midnight and we only had outside noise one out of three nights so nothing unreasonable. The location is unbeatable on the broadwalk and the beach. The fact that they loan you beach chairs and towels is a real convenience. The sunrises were incredible. The room was clean. I would certainly stay there again.

“WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL”

There are no enough space here to completely described how wonderful our stay at the Hotel Sheldon was. Being right now the beach was great. We will defiantly stay here again. It was so nice to be able to walk right out of the hotel and walk along the boardwalk and stop in the shops that line the beach. The location was wonderful because not only were we on the beach but it was also a very short drive to the Ft. Lauderdale airport.

“Beach Bliss”

The hotel is still going through some renovations, but it didn't affect us at all. It's a quaint building, old spanish style with some character inside. Beach chairs and beach towels are available at the front desk as also is a blow dryer. The temporaty main lobby right now is not big There is coffee available in the lobby all day long and also in your room. You have a refrigerator and microwave as a convenience. The location is GREAT! Walk out go around the building and you're on the beach or take a walk along the boardwalk. There are many restaurants all along the beach front and reasonably priced. I woud definately stay here again and recommend this property.

“Great”

The Sheldon Hotel is located right on the Boardwalk in Hollywood. It is old (1940's) but clean. Don't expect amenities featured in modern hotels but the location more than makes up for that. We found the room clean and well cared for each day. Breakfasts on the boardwalk, the beach, Dinner at O'Malley's all delightful.

“THE Perfect Location”

They are going through a remodeling process so things were not up to what they will be but the front desk service was fantastic. We didn't even rent a car. Right outside your door is the beach, restaurants, the concert pavillion, and daily trollies. We will SO go back again as soon as we can. Can't wait to see the remodeling when it is finished.

I was really happy when I checked into this super cute, perfectly located hotel check in at first was ruff when flight delays caused me to check in at 2am. I had a bit of an issue with the staff about the fact that i paid for a night that i could not enjoy. Speaking with expedia they understood and fixed the problem, after that it was smooth sailing. This hotel is perfect! Great place to relax and enjoy the clean beached of Hollywood! I cant wait to go back!!

“Right on the beach”

The Sheldon was under renovation, so the outside appearance was a bit of a surprise, but our stay was perfectly comfortable and pleasant. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is right on the boardwalk, in a delightfully lively but not rowdy neighborhood.

“Perfect Location”

Great hotel. They were remodeling, but it wasn't an inconvenience at all. They were kind enough to switch me to a different room so that I could check in 2hours early to freshen up & get ready for a business meeting. Perfect Location - Right on the Broadwalk - right on the beach - 1 block from the outdoor amphitheater w/ free live music nightly - 2 blocks from the water taxi and 1/2 block from the trolly stop. Do yourself a favor and eat at Little Venice... delicious!!
