Convenient to Airport and Cruise port

Posted Jan 29, 2015
Pros: Nice open atrium and nice grounds.
Cons: The shuttle from the airport was slow.
Location: Not much within walking distance.
An attractive hotel with a large atrium in somewhat industrial area. Nice bar area and separate restaurant. Be prepared to pay for breakfast. Comfortable room and bed.

Pre cruise hotel stay

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: Clean rooms
Cons: Offer a free shuttle to area restaurants.
The hotel was decent for the price. The food offerings were limited, and the service was slow. They did serve Starbucks coffee so that is always a bonus.

Position for cruise

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: Close to cruise port. When we called for free shuttle they suggested we grab a cab. The free shuttle is one of the reasons we used this hotel.
Cons: Needs an upgrade
We found the hotel extremely dirty. We have been staying at Sheraton hotels for years and have never stayed at such a dirty facility. We booked through Expedia and wondered if they put us in a poorer quality room. The front desk staff did switch our room when we complained about its cleanliness. This hotel needs a major retrofit before we will ever stay there again.

Nice hotel but nothing near.

Posted Jan 13, 2015
One night stay before a cruise. Shuttle from the airport was free but to the cruise port were $10 per person(we were 8) and the taxi charged us $16 for 4 people(we took two cabs). Hotel staff insisting that the taxi driver was lying and that he would charged us more at the end... FALSE. Clean hotel, nice rooms, great breakfast buffet but the hotel has nothing near. If you are staying here for days make sure you have a car.

Like a Days In

Posted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Demolition
Location: Don't know
Nobody answered the phone the whole time were were there. We tried from our cell and from the room phone. Nachos from bar took more than a half hour and were cold. Elevators looked like they were from the 80s. Toilet seat had something peeling off it.

convenient for cruising, but overpriced!

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Convenient
Cons: Clarity about which things are free. One of the main attractions close is the pier. It seems you should include transportation to the pier
When I asked if a shuttle was provided to the pier for our cruise, I was told "yes", and that we needed to sign up with guest services. We arranged a time to be shuttled to our cruise. The next morning, we found the $20 charge for the shuttle service. I feel that they should not say a shuttle service is provided unless they also specify that they charge $10 per person for the service. The room was fine. We just needed a place to sleep as we were leaving on our cruise the next morning. I feel like this was extremely overpriced for the overall experience. There was really nothing special about it. Shuttle from the airport was provided (free) Breakfast was extremely expensive and definitely not worth the price. If all you want is a convenient place to stay prior to cruising, this is convenient. Shuttle from the airport to hotel was free, but shuttle to the pier for you cruise is NOT INCLUDED. Breakfast is very unimpressive and VERY expensive. Room was very overpriced. Convenient, but overpriced.

Old building. Needs updating.

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: It was convenient to the interstate, and that's about it.
Cons: It's an old building. Just needs a complete makeover to bring it into 2015.
This place cost more to stay at than most of the motels I'm used to. Yet it had fewer amenities than many of those cheaper motels. I couldn't get coffee in the lobby, for example. There was no microwave or fridge in my room. No free internet connection, much less free wi-fi, in my room. Next door to my room, somebody made a strange noise all through the night--same noise 2 nights in a row. Never heard anything quite like it--sounded like somebody was moving coat hangers in the closet all night. Workout room was tiny. Had equipment that didn't work properly.

Exterior and landscape seemed nice. Food was good. Interior could use a update.
