Not a bad hotel. Nice area. Nice staff. Sweet ants were our only problem. I would still stay here though.

Nice hotel, but with issuesPosted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: First and foremost, the location: it is next to a Walgreens and about 10 minutes walking from a big Publix (grocery). Beach is 5 minutes drive away.
Cons: Condition of the room, particularly the smell.
Location: Beach, stores, nice streets to walk on.
We are a family of 5 who stayed for 7 nights. I would guess most people stay for much shorter (1-2 nights pre- or post-cruises). The price was right, the services ok-ish. However, there was a faint smell in the room, that was somewhere between tobacco & humidity. The room was non-smoking, but I think it used to be smoking before. Apart from this, the facilities were ok. Breakfast was fine if you didn't have too many expectations. The breakfast space was a bit cramped. We didn't test the outdoor pool (although we saw it was very small) or the guest laundry room. Staff interaction was ok, nothing spectacular though.

Nice hotel close to the beachPosted Jan 1, 2015
We stayed here one night before we went on a cruise. Our experience was good. We were in a room with a king-size bed, fridge, and microwave. We used all three! :-) The breakfast was the usual "hot" buffet: eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, make-your-own waffles, plus continental items such as cereal, yogurt, muffins. Overall, we thought the hotel suited our needs well. One of the BEST things about this hotel is its proximity to the Walgreens (in the parking lot next door). We walked to Walgreens to buy some last-minute beach items for our cruise, and some 12-packs of soda to take on the cruise ship. The hotel called us a taxi to take us to the beach. We saw some people walking to the beach, but since we only had a couple of hours before dark, we wanted to maximize our beach time (instead of spending all that time walking). This hotel picks you up for free from the airport, but charges you $5 per person to shuttle you to the cruise port. (Wish that one was free, but it still cost less than a taxi.)

One night stay, won't be backPosted Dec 26, 2014
This hotel may be close to the airport and it's staff friendly but that's the extent of compliments. Breakfast buffet was served until 9:30 am but staff was packing things up before that cutoff, removing plates of food as I was reaching for things. The room smelled horrible and was very stuffy, you can't open any windows either. The room it self was sad, the bathroom door was falling of its hinges and the room door sticks horribly. We didn't use the pool since we weren't there long enough. I won't stay there again.

Nice hotel close to the beachPosted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Price, pool, airport shuttle.
Cons: It needs a thorough renovating starting with the carpets and the room doors.
Location: Close to beach - 15 minutes by bus - right to the start of the broadwalk. Convenient to airport.
This hotel was reasonably priced which was what we were looking for. It was close to the beach IF you could figure out the public bus schedule which neither the hotel desk knew anything about nor did the folks at the Walgreen's next door. The bus ran every 45 minutes on Sunday which was the day we were there, and every 15 minutes on the weekdays. The bus stop is practically right in front of the hotel. The beach is a straight shot down Sheridan Rd. maybe 15 minutes by bus. The hotel pool was very nice - just the right temperature, and not crowded. The towels could use an update. Now here's the bad part - there's no where to eat near the hotel. We were counting on Pancho's which was right across the street, but it had closed permanently (?). The nearest place that had food which we found was the Publix grocery store 3 long blocks down the street. This property is old and aging, but they are working at keeping it presentable. It has a free airport shuttle. The airport is maybe 15 minutes away.
