"Location, View, and a bartender named Alex"Posted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: The location/beach, the view, the pool, the ice water infused with fruit slices in the lobby, and the bartender, Alex!!
Cons: The ONLY thing that needed to be improved/fixed was the sink drain in my bathroom...very slow drain; could not let water run long or else it runs over
Location: Beach across the street. Bars, souvenir shops, pizza joint, Italian deli/eatery "Kisses" open 24 hrs. - espresso, sweets, sandwich/appetizer,breakfast
Pulling up to the hotel, I loved the look and the location! You immediately see the beach/ocean, as it is directly across the street. You literally walk across the street and you are on the beach!! (The beach towels available at the pool for guests to use for free, can be taken to the beach, too!...just remember to return your towels to the hotel pool!) The view from my room (10th floor) was awesome! I couldn't stop looking!! This was truly a highlight!! All the staff are very friendly and accommodating. From the front desk to the pool to the bar to the restaurant to the valet guys to housekeeping...everyone was great! One staff in particular deserves a special shout out...Alex, the bartender!! I spent a couple nights at the bar before going out for dinner and Alex was so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. At times it was as if everyone knew each other around the bar, as Alex was such a great conversationalist, he got everyone talking/laughing...good times at the bar, for sure! And if you ask for recommendations on places to go to eat and drink, Alex is the man!! Both nights I was there, I went out to places suggested by Alex and both were a hit! Overall, I had a great time at the Sonesta...and I definitely will be back!!!

THE place to stay in FLLPosted Jul 28, 2015
Where do I begin? The valet folks are the friendliest people I have come across in a while. So I thought, the front desk staff was courteous and professional as well. As a guest you are encouraged to check the daily calendar to see what's on tap for the day. The seafood stew poolside was excellent. That happens each week. The view from my room was amazing. Did not seem real. The hotel is away from the more crowded areas so its a perfect spot to hit the beach and relax. I will be going back and made sure to tell the folks at the hotel.

Ver nice hotel with excellent locationPosted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: It is next to the beach. It is very clean with big rooms and great staff
Cons: The valet parking
Location: Go to the beach, and visit the stores and restaurants along the broadwalk
The lobby is really nice and i had a very fast check in. The pool is small but with good temperature and enough places to lay and rest. The room was very big and clean, and it had an amazing view to the ocean. The staff was very helpful and always smiling. I definitively recommend this hotel, just don't use valet parking. Its not worth it.

Cheap hotel close to the beach.Posted Jul 25, 2015
This was a cheap hotel across from the beach but you get what you pay for. I booked my hotel room for Monday - Friday but I was arriving early Tuesday morning around 7 in the morning and I wanted a room right away to rest instead of waiting until 4 in the afternoon to check in. My hotel room was paid for in advance for the entire week. When I arrived Tuesday morning I was told that my room was given away because I did not check in on Monday. After some back and forward conversation trying to get into a room, the rep goes upstairs and returns saying he has a room for me. Great! I get to my room and the view is great but the windows are dirty, ok no biggie. I start to unpack and put my clothes away in the dresser drawers and find hairs. Little short curly hairs and long hairs. Gross, I'm not putting my clothes in there so I hung up most of my things and the remaining items stayed in the bag. Ok it's time to freshen up from the long trip. I turn the water on in the sink and there is a slight discoloration in the water, ok maybe it's the lighten in the bathroom let's keep going. The white sink has a slow drain and I realize that the water is indeed a yellowish color. I turn on the tub and let it run for a while before closing the drain, confirmed!! The water is indeed a yellowish color with long hairs on and in the tub, even better!!

Beautiful hotel close to beach and shoppingPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: We loved the view of the beach most of all.
Cons: Pool is small for size of hotel.
Location: Location directly across from the beach. There's a pizzeria 24 hour, an ice cream shop, other restaurants nearby.
We traveled to this hotel a few days prior to a cruise. Beautiful, modern room with a view of the beach and double floor to ceiling windows. Mall shopping within a 15 min walk. Hotel staff was pleasant and informative. Buffet breakfast at hotel was limited but fresh and hot daily. Be mindful there are not many restaurants or eateries near hotel so you will have to venture out. We enjoyed it and would return again for longer stay next time.

Nice hotel...clean. Great location to the beach.Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Beach location cleanliness
Cons: Providing enough towels, especially wash cloths.
Stay was nice. Close to beach, hotel very clean. Only issue is that they would only give us one (1) wash cloth at a time, we had to keep asking. I found that quite strange. Also, ice is not on every floor...we had to go to another floor. Not a huge deal, but, every hotel I have ever been in has ice on all floors. Otherwise, not bad.

Kein 4 Sterne HotelPosted Jul 16, 2015
