Great staff. Friendly. Only thing we didn't care for was the bartenders weren't friendly and the drinks were terrible.

Not a Four and a Half Star Hotel!

Posted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: Pool was nice and quiet. No music which I think is a plus.
The accommodations and service were lacking for a four and a half-star hotel. The floors of my room were not clean when I checked in and there was dust on every surface. When I nicely informed them of this and went to dinner, they said they would give the room a good cleaning. When I returned later that evening...it still was dirty and dusty. Staff is nice, but not very efficient and lack any charm. And they never followed up with me to see if everything was finally ok. They did clean the room well the next day after I complained again. I travel a lot and this is the FIRST time I have ever complained about a room's cleanliness. On the plus side, the pool is very nice and was not crowded or noisy like other hotel pools on the strip. I'd rate this a three star hotel in need of updating. The rooms are getting a bit tattered. And it was surprising that the usual amenities like umbrellas were non-existent. There was also construction taking place across the street on both sides of the hotel.

Beautiful hotel with great staff and amentities

Posted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: My cell phone service did not work anywhere in the room or on the hotel grounds. I had to go outside most of the time.
Location: Perfect location. I had lived in the area previously years ago and the hotel is centrally located to walk to many wonderful restaurants.
From the moment I checked into The Atlantic Hotel and Spa I felt very welcomed. The staff was always smiling and helpful. They were very courteous and always went out of their way to make you feel speciaI. My Oceanfront room was beautiful. It was very clean and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel. The view was gorgeous. The pool and spa was very well maintained. I have already recommended this hotel to many of my friends to stay in if they ever vacation in Fort Lauderdale. Thank you for making my stay so wonderful.

Great Resort

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: The room, pool, staff, food
Cons: Nothong
Location: Just a few blocks to the south is a large, three story entertainment complex with restaurants and shopping.
I have stayed at many Fort Lauderdale hotels and this rates in the top five. We came the night before a cruise out of Miami and had a wonderful time. We had a room with a king bed right by the elevator (very quiet) with an ocean front view from the 10th floor. This resort had the absolute best shower of any hotel I have ever stayed in. Wonderful shampoo, conditioner, and lotion as well. We all wanted to build one of these showers in our homes. While the hotel is across the street from the beach the fifth floor pool makes you feel you are right on the beach. Of course drinks and food are pricey. You are paying for location. The valet is steep as well, but this is the norm. Even with stiff prices the food and drinks by the pool were superb. Remember, the loungers and umbrellas on this section of the beach are controlled by the City of Ft. Lauderdale and are also pricey. If you are staying for a few days just buy a beach chair, cooler, and drinks, as these are allowed on the beach. It will save you money. To the south are many restaurants and shopping within walking distance with no mobility problems. If you don't want to walk cabs are available. We took a pedi cab back at night and it was a blast. You won't go wrong choosing this hotel.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted Jun 4, 2015
I enjoyed the comfort of the hotel, the ocean view from our room, and the food was very good. I started each morning using an elliptical machine in the workout room before enjoying an outdoor breakfast. The pool is large enough to enjoy a swim and just sit around relaxing.
