Hospital not a hotel

When seeing the hotel and walking in to the lobby, we said wow!! Very fancy. Then road the elevator up and when the door opened, bam... We were in a hospital. There were signs on the wall directing you to locations of this hospital. We would have likes to know what kind of place we were staying at before choosing to stay. The room was a hospital room with the extra wide door. The hallway was clearly a hospital with wing doors and hospital flooring. This was a bit creepy. The room looked like an extended stay room for like a hospis but turns out it was a battered women's shelter. Over all clean and a place to sleep. The strangest thing was not knowing and being surprised once arriving and not having any choice to make changes. We just felt with it and moved on.

Thank you for the feedback. We were once a hospital but have been a hotel for over 10 years. The Forum has never been a shelter for battered women. However, if we had the opportunity to be a safe haven for battered women, we would see it as a blessing. Thank you again for your review.

This is really a Christian Ministery where they rent rooms when they do not need them. would not recomment it.

Ancien Hôpital !

Cons: Besoin important d'investissement !
Location: Que de passage heureusement , quartier assez commercial
point positif :Lit correct ! négatif : Un ancien hôpital !!! On ne pouvait lever la toile de la chambre !!! la salle de bain, pas de bain ! douche seulement, petit lavabo d'hôpital ! déjeuner offert le matin, très de base... bref très ordinaire !

They were not present at the desk when I needed to check out, so I left them a note along with my fax number and name at 6:54am in the morning! I had a medical school interview that morning and really needed to leave at a specific time and they were nowhere to be found! In return, they charge me an additional $50! Also, I had forgotten my toothbrush at home and they seemed to be out of all supplies. Not your typical accommodating hotel!

Thank you for the review. This is not customary procedure for The Forum to charge a card without a pre-authorization and explanation of what the charge is for. If it was an error on our end, we are confident that the funds were returned to you promptly when the error was brought to managements attention. If this charge was your "incidental hold" that hotels require, this hold was placed on each your card upon checking in. This is a customary practice by all hotels. That hold is then refunded to you after the stay. Based on both of those details, The Forum did not hold something that was not authorized and The Forum did not charge $50.00 for anything that was not pre-authorized when you checked in. It's a renovated Hospital!

Pros: Microwave & Refrigerator...
Cons: Needs to be totally renovated to change the Hospital atmosphere!
Location: It's nothing to close to it period. No food places or shopping!
Nothing about the place resembles a hotel! Our blind in our room didn't open! Bathroom very small! It's clean... If you're looking for just a clean place to sleep, this is the place for you! No Alcohol or Smoking allowed! Only plus is it has microwave and small refrigerators and complimentary Continental Breakfast. It's not close to nothing but the industrial district!

Thank you for the review. We are 2 miles from the following: beaches, local restaurants, shops, casino and 1 mile from the casino and highway entrance. The facilities manager has been updated on the blind not opening. We hope this was communicated to the front desk so that the issue can be resolved. Thank you again for your review.

Loved this place! Affordable clean hotel staff couldn't have been nicer! That's my hotel to go to now! Can't say anything negative about it! 10* to me!

Just stayed here for a short but

The hotel is not located near any restaurants in it and then a dustrial complex office park not a lot to do around the hotel but a great place to stay in a good price for the location
