“Wouldn't go back because of beach location”

Our stay at the Westin was work related so spent alot of time in conference rooms. The gym was excellent alot of nice equipment. The restaurants were nice but over priced for what you got. The location was not the best because if we wanted to go to the beach you had to cross a bridge and was a little noisy, this is not the fault of the hotel. Beach chairs were free.

“Great Hotel, Great Location”

The hotel was great and the location was incredible. I'm a fan of the Westin chain and they are consistently clean and comfortable. The Starwood Group obviously has taken some bad advice from a design team that thinks having louvered doors into the bathroom is hip and trendy. In addition thelouvered window from the bathroom into the living area is a little overboard. The W Hotel 2 blocks away did the same thing except the window is clear glass. The distance from the hotel lobby to my room seemed a little far. The hotel is comprised of 2 buildings that are connected with a skywalk and my oceanfront room was about as far away from the main entrance as you could get. The room was a decent size, clean, decorated well and the bed was Westin comfortable. No room balcony was a disappointment, but none of the rooms had them. And Westin knows how to calm people with the scent they infuse in the public spaces. The staff was extremely pleasant and always welcoming. All in all a great experience and an incredible place to escape to.

“Beautiful, Clean Resort (not to mention it smells great!)”

Had a great stay at the Westin Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale. Would highly recommend staying here if you need a few days to unwind, sit by the pool (the pool attendants were great) or walk right across the street to go to the beach, which also allowed you to have 2 beach chairs per room that they provided. Note: It is a family resort, there were lots of kids running around the pool area, but it wasn't too bothersome. Didn't use the spa, but wanted a massage very badly, and the entire resort smelled of their signature scent, which I believe was a white tea blend. I basically wanted to bottle the scent and use it at home! Only had lunch here once, which was average but most of the food seemed overpriced for what it was ($18 dollar breakfast that was cereal and juice!?). Drinks made by the bartender Eduardo were amazing, he was really nice and mixed drinks very well. Also, the starbucks within the resort was useful for breakfast/coffee. Rooms were clean, the only problem I ran into was having my contact case thrown out by one of the cleaning ladies, which I'm sure was an accident, but obtaining another one was kind of a pain. Used the gym, which was also very clean, small but had everything you really needed and faced the ocean, which was nice. Overall, I would recommend and/or stay here again!

“Wonderful experience”

The staff was friendly. We were up graded to an ocean view and the location was great. When we needed a car rental, the car was delivered and picked up at the hotel. We will stay here again.

“Great Hotel, surprisingly intimate feel”

If you're looking for a major chain hotel that offers a "known quantity" in terms of quality/service/amenities like Westin is known for, but also want a "smaller" boutique feel, this is a great choice. Yes, they have 2 towers, but if you're in the north tower, the hotel seems very small (in a good way), as the pool/restaurants are super-accessible. All in all, it was a great stay for our long 4-day weekend. One other added bonus - it is one of only two hotels with a walkway that takes you across A1A to the beach without having to cross traffic.

“Perfect! Wish we would have stayed longer than one night”

When we checked into the hotel, the staff upgraded us for free to a partial ocean view! The decor is amazing and so up to date! All of the staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was beautiful and very clean. I even laid on the top bed spread! The only inconvenience was that the pool was closed for part of a day for cleaning- however we were allowed to us the neighboring hotel's pool. The skywalk made getting to and from the beach very easy!

“Had a Blast”

Overall I had a great stay. If I could change one thing about the room it would to put doors on the bathroom.

“I highly recommend this hotel!!”

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location was perfect. We were able to either walk, take a taxi or trolley anywhere we wanted to go. Nearby restaurants were excellent. Easy access to the beach. The pool area was somewhat small but the beach was a great substitute.
