Comfortable beds. Excellent location close to I95

Recommendable. Elevators are quirky but this Westin is among the best.

Didn't get the room I booked

I booked my room on Expedia. I booked a room with a king size bed and when I got there they gave me room with a double bed. They did not apologize for the room change and when I asked why I didn't get what I booked, I was just told it's not available. The next night there was a huge roach in the bathroom. I won't stay at this hotel again.

very nice hotel overall, the pool is a litle bit noisy due to the short distance to highway

Hotel no coplaints. Taxi's can get expensive. Evertrhing you need is close

Pros: Ecerything ekse was great.
Cons: SIGNS
Location: I was to mett family a few miles away.
Every thing was great, except when the GPS said I arrived, I could not see your sign in the dark, so I road arround three times and finally asked where you were. Same problem leaving, I could ride left or right and choose left and that was wrong. A sign showing an arrow RIGHTING to the main road would have helped.

Disappointing

Have been to many Westins and love their hotels. This hotel has the requisite Heavenly Beds and good shower heads but the rest of the experience was disappointing. The hotel itself is shabby - fraying carpets, older fixtures, etc. There is a fountain in the foyer with red sponges (!!) to catch the water when it lands. Not worth the money.

Horrible we checked in the air was broken and the fridge couldnt even keep a bottle of water bottle cold. Called for the air to be fixed,they sent an engineer who literally came for 2 min and left said if it doesnt get cold call back in 20 min or so...called 2 hours later 3 times and no one answer. Also they promote extended checkouts on Sundays and when I called to extend the checkout they told me no.. never going back.

Poor Customer Service

Cons: Staff trained in providing good customer service.
Our stay at the hotel was for less than 24 hours. We arrived late close to midnight, the front desk had our rsvp wrong, she attempted to argue but I showed her the print out of my rsvp and she then changed my room type. We asked for additional blankets, they took an extended length of time to bring us an extra sheet. We called back and explained we received a sheet, we were informed that that particular department's staff were all gone home. The worst was when we asked for a cab in the a.m. The lady at the desk took our name and told us to wait outside, well the problem with that was there were a couple of groups waiting for a cab as well. There was a staff member (white male) initially managing this process. Then when it came time for us to have a cab, he gave two groups that arrived after us a cab. When I questioned him as to their process he said nothing and walked away. I returned back to the lady at the desk and asked for a manager, the manager listened to my concerns and then literally walked away. The gentlemen outside managing the cab process, walked in the hotel and left us to our own accords. A cab driver actually came up to us and said he was their for someone else but would take us where we needed to go. I will NEVER stay at the Westin in Ft. Lauderdale. I am a Marriott reward holder and usually stay at their hotels but they were sold out. I will ensure I continue to patronize those hotels and not Westin hotels or their affiliates.
