Travelodge Fort Lauderdale

I checked out after realizing how ridiculous the place really is. I was being watched by the cleaning staff and I am not a paranoid person but I decided to move all my luggage to my car every time I left my room. The elevator is old, smelly and very very scary. There was a fire and the place is still not repaired! This should not be a part of the Travelodge brand!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Travelodge is really misrepresented at this location. One of the worst hotels I've been too.

Along with my wife, I went there to spend a day as I had this appointment to cover in Fort Lauderdale. They stay was okay. Wall papers were coming out due to moisture. The light in the bathroom was flickering so much that I had to turn it off and take my shower in the dark. There was so much dust on the TV and Bed side lights that I thought, "Do they even bother to clean the room?". The carpet of the room was sticky and was smelling. Perhaps this is what you get when you book through Expedia - a cheap hotel along with flight. But I must mentioned, next day, to our surprise, we saw this board at the counter - "No Vacancy"!!!

Upon arrival, I immediately noticed some shady people walking through the property that weren't staying at the hotel. As I looked around, I noticed a large ugly blue tarp covering a big portion of the second floor as if it was being quarantined from a plague outbreak. The over all appearance of the hotel was an eye soar and nothing like the pictures when I booked my stay. As I entered my room was immediately hit in the face with a nasty musty smell. Upon examining the rest of the room I noticed both beds had stains on the comforters!!!! I immediately tried booking a room else where but all of the hotels were booked!! The only reason I stayed because it was in close proximity to my meetings. Each time I left for a meeting I dreaded leaving my belongings in my room due to the shady people hanging in the lot. It's safe to stay I would NOT be staying here AGAIN even it means me driving longer to make my meetings.

Unfriendly service, room run down, filthy curtains with stains, cracked tiles, cheap paint on walls with missed spots, bed covers with cigarette burns and holes, room smelled like dirty socks. The chair was worn and stained. We purchased Lysol to kill the smell and spray whatever we had to touch. We covered the bed with plastic bags and went and bought new linen to place over the plastic bags just to protect ourselves. We had pre-paid so we had no other choice but to stay. Terrible place to associate with Hotel.com!!
