In need of serious renovation.

Posted May 4, 2014
This hotel is in serious need of renovation. The structures are old and deteriorated, in need of a touch of paint. The safety locks in the door are not even aligned! Nevertheless, for 1 night stay, is in a great zone.

Pictures are very misleading old ruined hotel

Pros: The only one thing it has is location
Cons: All that i mentioned in my experience above can be improved
Location: Sunrise Blvd is the connecting point for almost everything.
I received a room (119) that has old carpeting which is humid and smells bad, the bathroom door is broken, the safe.... if you can call the metal box a safe was also broken, the air conditioning machine is old and noisy and no remote for it. The internet service is terrible, one needs to wander in the parking lot to get signal and, it is limited.

Overall good experience. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Pool was crystal clear and very clean. Outside facility needs updating and stairs are not the best. Elevator broke the night we arrived. Continental breakfast was adequate, but soy milk, fresh fruit, and a gluten free option would have been nice considering I can't have gluten or dairy.

Poor hotel experience

If you want to save money, expect not very clean rooms. The doors don't lock, toilets and showers hardly drain

The staff were very helpful and let us go into a room earlier than usual because we arrived back from our cruise very early in the morning! Thank you!

Needs to be upgraded and painted.

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Room was serviced and kept clean.
Cons: Need to redo the aesthetics of the hotel. Was not what I EXPECTED for a hotel in a good area of town.
Location: The Galleria Mall and the beach which was only 10 min away.
My room was ok but did not like the people hanging out in the stairways.

You get what you pay for

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: Friendly and helpful desk staff.
Cons: The property is old and needs updating.
Location: Great shopping, bars and restaurants are a short bus or cab ride away, or if you're feeling fit, a 15-20 minute walk, and the beach is great.
The property is old and could definitely do with an update, but if you pay a cheap rate, you shouldn't expect a 5 star hotel. It was definitely a place to rest, sleep and shower, not to stay and lounge by the pool. The staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating, storing our luggage after check out at no charge. It was very easy to navigate our way around on the local bus system, which was only $4.00 for an all day pass and you could go for miles on that pass. It is definitely a place to store your luggage in your room while you are out all day sightseeing, and then come back for a shower and must needed sleep.
