Would not recommend.Posted Jan 17, 2015
The hotel somehow cancelled our reservation for December when we had booked it in August. We didn't know that until the day we arrived at the hotel and there wasn't a room reserved for us. Good thing they had a room available or we would have been stranded. There was no notice of a cancellation.

Ótimo hotel. Recomendo a todos.Posted Dec 16, 2014
Fiquei hospedado por dois dias no hotel. Funcionários atenciosos e sempre prontos para ajudar. Piscina aquecida. Quarto arrumado e limpo. A cama era de uma ótima qualidade. Recomendado.

Can't wait to return!!!Posted Dec 6, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, rooms, great location
Cons: If I wanted to be picky, the fridge wasn't level and there wasn't a phone in the room not that I needed it.
Location: Great location couple blocks from the beach, didn't really get to tour the area.
We needed a room for a night in the Lauderdale area before a cruise. We arrived around 4pm and made our way inside. We were greeted by a real friendly young man, whose name I cannot remember, to say he was helpful would be an understatement. After checking in we headed up to our ocean view room, (no elevator) on the 3rd floor. I will stop there and explain it like this, there are hotels from the '70s that look like they are from the '70s and then there is the TropiRock. We use the key(yes it is a real key not a card) to unlock the deadbolt (no electronics here) and take a step back in time but it was a good step!! The room was awesome, King sized bed, fridge, micro, TV and small table and chairs. plus a view of the ocean only a couple of blocks away. We went and did some shopping and then wanted to go for dinner. We headed down to the front desk but the young man was tied up so we headed out. To our surprise the young man came running after us to see what we needed. We told him we just wanted a restaurant that was close. He pointed us to a small café 2 streets over as it was part of the group of hotels they owned. When we arrived we thought, man were under dressed for this place but headed in anyway. The staff didn't give us a second look and served us a great meal at a very reasonable price. The wait staff were friendly and took the time to chat about the area. Although I didn't go in the pool, the area was nice and the water was warm. Cant wait to return in February!!

Basic but nice hotel for Ft Lauderdale airportPosted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: FREE onsite parking & Wi-fi and nice decor
Location: It's about a 15 minute walk to the bar/restaurant mile and the beach front and a 5-mile drive to the airport. There's a large mall a short drive away
We stayed here on the final night of a Florida road trip, mainly to be closer to the airport as we'd driven up from the Keys. It was a nice hotel with a welcoming reception selling drinks, snacks and merchandise. Our room was on the 3rd floor and was very spacious and clean. The kitchen area was brand new with a good coffee machine. The bathroom was a little old-looking but nothing wrong and the bed was comfortable. The fan was a nuisance and very loud throughout the night and people were very loud an inconsiderate in the morning from around 7am – shouting down to each other over the balconies...not sure if it was staff or guests though. The room is basic – reminded me of a beach hotel so if that’s what you’re there for you’ll be fine with it. There's a pool at the front of the hotel, FREE onsite parking & Wi-fi. Location is OK – about a 15 minute walk to the bar/restaurant mile and the beach front and a 5-mile drive to the airport. Staff were very helpful

Nice old hotel that has been pleasantly renovated.Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: location, feeling, grounds, room, pool, and staff
Cons: replace old style louvered windows.
Location: very nice location, a short distance to super market, two blocks to beach, and also to a nice local restaurant.
This is a nice hotel that has made noticeable efforts to keep it renovated, clean, and up to descent standards. The staff were friendly and the location convenient. This facility is one I can recommend to any seasoned traveler.

Bra läge men enoveringsbehovPosted Nov 8, 2014
Bra läge men våra 2 rum hade renoveringsbehov men en del andra var fixade. Störande bullrig AC, städningen kunde vara bättre.

The worst hotel ever.Posted Nov 2, 2014
We were a group of 7. They split our group up to different hotels. The contractors woke us at 7 every morning. The sink did not drain. The toilet water ran constantly. The faucet sent water to the ceiling. When I complained ...the man t old me that's what I get for my money and he walked away. The safe was broken as was the alarm clock. Horrendous.

I so wanted to like this place...Posted Oct 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
And I couldn't. It has so much potential. We stayed in a recently renovated room, and I was so hopeful. I arrive and the room wasn't ready because they were assembling bar stools for us, so they asked the guys to clear out, and we got the stools the next day. Was then informed they didn't hook up the dishwasher during the renovation, so, ok, the maids can do the dishes (though they shouldn't have to). Get to the room, and it's a HUGE suite. The living room is BIG. Nice kitchen area. Then I noticed that where they'd uninstalled the old counter eating area, they didn't clean the tile underneath so you could see exactly where the old counter was. The shower head was out of a 1965 college dorm, the furniture was too crowded for the bedroom so I have multiple scrapes bruises from running into the chest of drawers on which the TV stood at the end of the bed. The the stove wasn't working (they fixed that). There was no shampoo in the shower (also fixed). There were wine glasses, & no wine opener. A few pots & no frying pan. I picked this hotel b/c it was a kitchen equipped suite for a 5 day stay. The pool area was lovely, and the bed was ok. And the staff were generally very friendly & helpful. With a bit more care and attention to detail, it could be restored to a really wonderful place in a great location. Instead, it was just ok. Owners/developers, I hope you're paying attention.
