“Beautiful surprise”

The hotel is beautiful. The neighborhood is changing for the better and this is a diamond in the rough. The lounge and restaurant are gorgeous. The hotel is spotless. I only wish there was a chair in the room and a very small table at which to be able to read. The price was excellent and the staff extremely helpful. I recommend this to everyone.

“What A Deal!”

Our room included a living/dining kitchen plus bedroom and bath @ $73, AMAZING! Our room was by the pool with plenty of lounge chairs, two restaurants with lots of choices and reasonable prices, complimentary breakfast. Eddie Vega at the front desk took care of our every whim. We extended our stay to nice days, we were so pleased.

Free drinks upon check-in! Woohoo! Pleasant and helpful staff. Pool area was nice and clean.

Pleasantly surprised...great room and amenities. Also, very professional, friendly service from Joel at the front desk. Enjoyed every aspect of our 2 night stay. A bit noisy a/c unit.

“Clean and accommodating”

The staff was great. They responded quickly to my requests. The room was clean. The courtyard and pool were beautifully kept. The location worked well for us, and it was the right price. The continental breakfast was sufficient. The hotel is near a train track, so you will hear train whistles periodically.

“Unmached customer service.”

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at the Universal Palms Hotel in Fort Lauderdale . We had a very pleasent stay. This hotel has a wonderful site. It offers you all the beauty of an exotic resort, while somehow leaving you with a taste of european culture. It's unique blend of tropical look and europeen (decorative style) is worth the visit. I must add that their staff is truly way above the standard (especially Jacques). These folks will go out of their way to make sure that your stay is a plasant one.

“bad train”

The only thing that would discourage me from suggestion this hotel is the train that comes by and blows it's horn all day and all night.. But, if you drink enough, you never here the horn.

“It's just little meinor things.”

When I first entered our room (Room1) I turn the A/C on, it turned off within less than a minute. I thought maybe it needed to run for a little bit, so me and the rest of my party left the hotel to do a little shopping. When we got back nearly 4 hours later our room was very warm, the A/C completely stopped working. Called front desk they noticified the maintance worker to come take a look at it. Worker came said it was fine, but also noticed after less than a min it turned off again. He replaced the A/C and had it running within 30 minute. Good job to him! (Room2) The rest of our party got up very early to go out and hit the beach, when we returned we noticed 1 of our rooms was freshend and the other not. Everything was thrown on the beds. Bathroom wasn't freshend nither. My party and I went down stairs to have a cocktail, the bartenders appeared to not know anything about drinks. They were reading out of a book. when told how to make the drink they over poured and used wrong glass wear. Three people in my party including myself are bartenders.

“Only Issue was Noise from Trains”

This was a pretty decent, low-cost hotel. Our only issue with the hotel was the noise from the trains, which went by at least once an hour. Otherwise it was not a bad place to stay.

“Miami”

I think if you stay in hotel one night, it is great value for stay. Front desk person, very pleasant, very nice, helpful. Breakfast not included, but restaurant had very nice breakfast for normal prices. Nice hotel. Also all depend what You pay for.
