“A GREAT Place to Visit. .Just Don't FLY Jet Blue! ! !”

We chose this place cause we LOVE spending vacation in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea so we looked at places online. I’d have to say that the pictures were much more “luxurious” than the place itself. However, given the price, location and cleanliness, I can honestly say the place was great-pleasant staff; clean rooms and GREAT views. Areas for improvement: place definitely needs capital improvements-doors; patio\pool area; bathrooms-plumbing AND fixtures (had to turn on sink faucet to get hot water in shower) windows and window treatments. ONLY bad experience of our vacation was traveling on Jet Blue from Newark to Ft Lauderdale. It was our first time flying them. We always used Continental but JB was much cheaper. On ou return home, we arrived at the airport and were told there was a 5 hour delay—no explanation; no warning (via Blackberry or cell). Upon asking why-I was told it seems like a mechanical failure. So sitting in the airport for 5 hours; being moved to two different gates; we were offered dinner vouchers. Standing in line, two other women experienced the same thing with Jet Blue two other times. I am thankful for this information because we will go back to reliable Continental.

“Would love to return every winter”

Older hotel that needs updating but was extremely clean and the bed was big and bedding nice. Any requests we had the staff was more than willing to help with. Loved the location, close to resturants and entertainment. Spent time around and in the pool....right on the ocean. What can I say...we had fun and will return!

“I will be back”

This hotel was clean, well maintained, and quite comfortable....the bed and pillows were extra soft. It had a microwave, small fridge, and coffee maker, plenty of closet place and wooden hangers. The smoke detector started beeping while my boyfriend was taking a nap because it needed a new battery, but the problem was taken care of right away. The only complaint I have is that while I was taking an evening swim in the pool, there were several teenage girls in the pool who apparently were not guests (they asked me to say they were my guests, and I decided to get out of the pool since I did not want to do that). When the maintenance man asked them if they were hotel guests, they were not asked for proof (e.g. room key or room number). Management might want to take some extra steps to keep unauthorized people out of the pool.

“Can't beat the location”

For the location and the price, this is a fantastic hotel. Just don't expect luxury accommodations. It is clean and most importantly bed bug free. You walk a few yards from your room and you're right there on the beach. You can't beat that! And because you're north of Fort Lauderdale, you're away from the maddening crowds and more importantly spring breakers. The staff is fantastic and very attentive. Knowing what to expect, I would definitely stay there again.

“Disappointed from champaign”

The good thing about this place is that it is on the beach. Dont expect high quality or you will be unhappy.

“will not go there again”

was told that the rooms were handicap acessable and that was a joke. the bathroomdoor was two feet wide. how do you get a wheelchair in there. nobody was there when we cheched in. the key was left in a mail box. it definately doesn't look like the pictures on the site. they at least found us a hotel close by to stay in.

“Great location poor upkeep and house keeping”

Asside from the view I would not recomed this hotel. There was mold in the rooms on the shower curtin and on the walls. The staff could not care less it was plain that they were there for a paycheck and nothing else.
