Great hotel, wonderful location and service

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Exception service from the front desk, plus free: breakfast, weekday dinners, wifi and parking. You can't get all of that for this price in NYC.
Cons: Cleaning staff should provide enough towels for every person staying in the room. I'm sure that front desk could provide them with that info.
Location: The hotel is located within a complex with lots of stores and a movie theatre. You are also close to the ferry which brings you to NYC.
We recently stayed at this hotel while visiting NJ and NYC. The hotel is conveniently located just across the Hudson River from NYC. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle which takes you to the ferry terminal (Port Imperial) - 20 mins you're in NYC. The hotel also provides free wifi, buffet breakfast each morning, dinner during weekdays and free parking. We received wonderful service from all front desk staff. The only minor irritant was that we were 4 in our room and had to request extra towels numerous evenings. After the first two days, I mentioned it to the front desk staff and she put a note for the cleaning staff. The next day we had 4 towels, but then dropped back down to 3 on the last day. We ended up staying an extra night and the front desk managed to find us a room and allowed us to stay in the same room (even though the room type was sold out). I would also like to thank Rosa for finding my daughter's sunglasses which she left in the shuttle the last morning we headed off to NYC. Big thanks from a happy little girl! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient hotel located close to NYC, without paying the high NYC prices.

I have to travel to Fort Lee area often for work and found that this is the best hotel in the region after trying many others. The location is convenient and the hotel staff is very friendly.

$6.40 return trip to New York by bus

Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: Breakfast, facilities were great, free printing service included, opportunity for complementary supper, staff were helpful, nice clean environment
Location: We did not explore new jersey, we would catch a bus into Manhattan and spend the day and evening there. In New York there was plenty to do.
We felt home wood suits was perfect for our state on the east coast. Only a $6.40 return bus trip to New York City. The staff were helpful and every morning there was a delicious breakfast. The hotel also offered supper during the week, however we were out most the time to take full advantage of it. Lots of business people stayed here and some families too. There was a gym and coin laundry. The facilities were great. It felt like home and I would reccomend staying here if you want to explore the busy city, but enjoy the peaceful home afterwards.

Posted Apr 24, 2014
It's true you have some commuting time ( aprox 40 mins) but the make it easy and give you many extras. Wouldn't think twice about going back to it.

the best hotel for visiting new york!

Posted Jan 7, 2014
Pros: Good staff, spacious rooms, buffet breakfast, easy to get to NYC
Location: easy to access NYC and all that Manhattan has to offer
this is a fantastic hotel for visiting New York City which sounds stupid given that the hotel is located in New Jersey. It takes 20 minutes on a bus to get from the hotel to the Port Authority Bus Station on 42nd Street and the bus stop is just outside of the hotel. It has all the perks of being close to Manhattan without the city prices and you also get much more space than city hotels offer. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, buffet breakfast and weekday dinners included in the price and the kitchen in the rooms all add up to make this feel like you're in a home away from home. Ask for a room that looks out on the Manhattan skyline for an extra wow factor

This area really needed a nice comfortable hotel. We were not disappointed. Comfortable hotel on River Road next to several stores for convenient shopping. Generous hot and cold breakfast included in the price. We will return.

Comfortable, but a Pain to get into NYC

Posted Dec 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very comfortable and pleasant, and the ladies at the front desk couldn't have been nicer! The free breakfast was handy, and sort of OK. The hotel is adjacent to a shopping mall with a movie theater, and there is a nice assortment of restaurants within walking distance. However, it's not close to NYC and is not easy to get into the city from the hotel. It takes forever to get into the city and back!!
